Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems to make determinations of lane-type and roadway hypotheses in a road model. The road-perception system can fuse various forms of evidence to determine lane-type hypotheses and respective belief masses associated with the lane-type hypotheses. The road-perception system the computes, using the belief masses, a belief parameter and a plausibility parameter associated with the lane-type hypotheses. One or more roadway hypotheses are then determined using the lane-type hypotheses. The road-perception system then uses the respective belief parameter and plausibility parameter associated with the lane-type hypotheses to compute a belief parameter and a plausibility parameter associated with the roadway hypotheses. In this way, the described techniques and systems can provide an accurate and reliable road model with quantified uncertainty.

Abstract: Device for checking the integrity of a digital transmission for an analog output of a system. The analog output may be checked for transient errors that can be attributed to a digital transmission path embedded somewhere within the vehicle system. A test signal is introduced into a digital transmission that can be reassembled from an analog path of the analog output, and, if not, allows the test device to pinpoint that errors are appearing due to the digital path, and not because of the analog output. In this way, debugging an installation of a system becomes easier; obtaining confidence in reliability of a mixed analog and digital system becomes less of a challenge and less time consuming.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a connector body defining a terminal cavity in which an electrical terminal is received which has a flexible primary terminal lock arm configured to secure the terminal within the cavity and which has a tab extending from a free end of the primary terminal lock arm. The assembly further includes an independent secondary lock (ISL) defining a window therein, attached to the connector body, and movable from a pre-staged position to a staged position. The tab of the primary terminal lock arm is received within the window when the primary terminal lock arm is in an unflexed condition when the ISL is in the staged position. The tab and window cooperate to inhibit flexing of the primary terminal lock arm when the ISL is in the staged position. Alternatively, the primary terminal lock arm may define the window and the ISL may define the tab.

Abstract: A flexible planar wire cable includes a first flexible planar wire having first conductor segments contained in a first longitudinal plane and second conductor segments contained in a second longitudinal plane. Abstract: This document describes a waveguide with a beam-forming feature with radiation slots. The beam-forming feature of the waveguide includes recessed walls surrounding a plurality of radiation slots. The recessed walls of the waveguide may be walls of equal height and width, or they may include further features that manipulate the beam being formed for certain applications. Some examples of these further features are the inclusion of a choke on one wall, one wall having a height greater than a parallel wall, or the walls either including a step or a taper, such that the beam-forming feature is narrower near the surface of the waveguide with the radiation slots and wider further from the surface of the waveguide with the radiation slots. The beam-forming feature may reduce grating lobes in the radiation pattern thereby improving accuracy and performance of the host system.

Abstract: A heating device includes a housing, a primary induction coil, a controller circuit, and a secondary induction coil. The housing retains a camera lens. The primary induction coil is positioned proximate the housing and generates a magnetic field in response to receiving electrical power from a power supply. The controller circuit is in electrical contact with the primary induction coil and controls the electrical power delivered to the primary induction coil. The secondary induction coil overlays the primary induction coil and receives the magnetic field from the primary induction coil and generates heat. The secondary induction coil is in direct contact with a windshield of a vehicle and heats the viewing window when the primary induction coil receives the electrical power.
