A method for a user equipment to precode and transmit an uplink signal efficiently in a 4-antenna system and a method for a base station to receive the transmitted signal efficiently are disclosed. Four antennas of a user equipment can be grouped by a 2-antenna unit. In consideration of this antenna group, it is able to perform precoding using antenna selection/DFT matrix of the antenna group unit. Moreover, a rank-3 codebook can be configured to include a precoding matrix of a type in consideration of power balance per antenna and a precoding matrix including one non-zero component only in one row for maintaining a good CM property.

The method includes: mapping a plurality of codewords to a plurality of streams; mapping the plurality of streams to at least one node among the plurality of nodes; performing multiple input multiple output (MIMO) precoding to map the streams mapped to the at least one node to at least one transmit antennas; and transmitting a signal subjected to the MIMO precoding to a user equipment.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data in a wireless communication system includes preparing a frame including a unicast subframe for unicast data and an MBS (Multicast and Broadcast Service) subframe for MBS data; and transmitting the unicast data and the MBS data via the frame, wherein the MBS subframe includes an idle time during which data is not carried, and the idle time is arranged to be at the temporally latest position in the MBS subframe. An MBS frame structure for using an appropriate CP with respect to MBS signals transmitted from multi-cell is provided, so an unnecessary idle time can be reduced, and thus, the efficiency of limited radio resources can be improved.

A method of transmitting feedback data in a multiple antenna system includes generating feedback data based on the channel information and transmitting the feedback data at transmission periods, wherein the feedback data is transmitted in a plurality of report types respectively having a different control signal type contained depending on the transmission periods.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting data having time diversity and data having time-frequency diversity, and a pattern generating method for the same are disclosed. The apparatus enables Tx data to have time diversity or time frequency diversity using a predetermined pattern multiplied by Tx data of a time domain or Tx data of time and frequency domains. The apparatus makes a cyclic delay diversity (CDD) scheme to have the diversity of time and frequency domains, and may acquire an additional diversity gain by a combination of the above-mentioned methods.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting feedback information in a codebook-based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is disclosed. To transmit the feedback information, a signal is received to discern channel characteristics of the received signal, and a codebook is updated using an extended matrix including a plurality of vector components and using previous feedback information. Feedback information is selected for transmission from the updated codebook in consideration of the channel characteristics of the received signal.
Abstract:
There is provided a method for enabling a user equipment to transmit feedback information. The method includes generating feedback data representing the feedback information, the feedback data expressed by a binary number having N bits, where N is an integer, the N bits comprising 2 levels, the feedback information represented by one of the 2 levels, wherein different types of the feedback information are assigned to different levels and transmitting the feedback data. Overheads incurred by transmission of feedback information can be reduced.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes generating duplicate data by using repetition coding, the duplicate data being the same as original data, shifting the phase of the duplicate data, and transmitting the original data and the phase-shifted duplicate data. The duplicate data is mapped to a modulation symbol having a different size or phase as that of the original data, thus to reduce the PAPR unlike the general repetition coding.
