Abstract:
A developing apparatus includes: a supply path configured to supply a developer; a discharge path configured to discharge the developer supplied from the supply path and perform developing; a developer holding portion configured to exert a predetermined force for holding the developer at the discharge path; and a developer accommodation portion accommodating the developer which is supplied from the supply path, and having a space volume so that the developer does not spout out from the discharge path on which the predetermined force is exerted by the developer holding portion according to an increase in an internal pressure of the developer accommodation portion when the developer is supplied from the supply path in a state where a predetermined amount of the developer is accommodated.
Abstract:
A feeding apparatus configured to feed a sheet, the feeding apparatus including: a placement unit on which the sheet is placed, the placement unit being movable in an intersecting direction intersecting with a sheet feeding direction; a feeding unit configured to feed the sheet placed on the placement unit in the sheet feeding direction; and a first guide unit and a second guide unit configured to guide the placement unit in the intersecting direction, wherein the first guide unit is disposed below the feeding unit and the second guide unit and downstream of the second guide unit in the sheet feeding direction.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an exposure unit, a developing unit, a transferer, a fixer, a determiner, a blower, and a controller. The exposure unit exposes an image bearing member to light according to image data to form an electrostatic latent image. The developing unit is configured to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image. The transferer transfers the toner image onto a recording medium. The fixer heat fixes the toner image to the recording medium. The determiner determines a state of at least one of a temperature and a humidity inside the image forming apparatus. The blower generates airflow inside the image forming apparatus. The controller reduces the airflow volume of the blower based on a determination result of the determiner as the degree of the occurrence of dew condensation increases.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus comprising a reading unit, a detection unit, and a control unit, when the detection unit detects a closed state of the reading unit after the reading unit is opened in a reading operation by the reading unit, if the reading operation is able to be restarted from a state of suspension in which a conveyance of the document by the reading unit is suspended, the control unit controls the reading unit to restart the reading operation from the state of suspension.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording head, includes a nozzle array of nozzle flow paths; ink ejection orifices communicating with the nozzle flow paths; heaters in the nozzle flow paths; and ink with which the head is filled. The ink contains a coloring material, an acetylene glycol-based surfactant, and water, the surfactant containing one or more kinds of an acetylene glycol or an ethylene oxide adduct thereof, an average addition number of moles of ethylene oxide of the whole surfactant being 3 to 7. The ink has a viscosity of 1.5 mPa·s to 3.0 mPa·s. The head is a line type head having an opening area of each ink ejection orifice of 100 μm2 to 350 μm2, a total number of nozzles of 1,200 or more, and a length of the nozzle array of 2 inches or more, and the head is driven at a frequency of 1 kHz to 10 kHz.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a moving portion that moves a printing medium, with the moving portion capable of being mounted to the image forming apparatus, an image forming portion that ejects ink droplets to the printing medium that is moved by the moving portion and forms an image thereon, and a reference portion mounted to the image forming apparatus. In addition, a positioning portion forces the moving portion, mounted to the image forming apparatus, to abut against the reference portion so that a distance between the moving portion and the image forming portion is a predetermined distance.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a heating member which heats a recording material on which an unfixed toner image has been formed, a pressurizing member which forms a nip portion between the heating member and the pressurizing member and applies pressure to press the recording material against the heating member in the nip portion, and a controller which applies a voltage, which has a polarity opposite to the polarity of the surface potential of the charged pressurizing member and a predetermined voltage value with which electric discharge does not occur between a hole in a surface layer of the pressurizing member and the heating member, to the heating member to remove electricity from the surface layer of the pressurizing member when the recording material is not present in the nip portion.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, including: an exposure unit configured to expose an image bearing member to light according to image data to form an electrostatic latent image; a developing unit configured to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image; a transfer unit configured to transfer the toner image onto a recording medium; a fixing unit configured to fix the toner image to the recording medium by heat; a determination unit configured to determine a state of at least one of a temperature and a humidity in an inside of the image forming apparatus; a blower unit configured to generate an airflow in the inside of the image forming apparatus; and a control unit configured to reduce an airflow volume of the blower unit based on a determination result of the determination unit as a degree of occurrence of dew condensation increases.
Abstract:
