Abstract:
The invention relates to poly(oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylate) microgels, to the process for preparing same and the uses thereof in various fields of application such as optics, electronics, pharmacy and cosmetics. These microgels have the advantage of being monodisperse, pH-responsive and temperature-responsive. They can carry magnetic nanoparticles or biologically active molecules. These microgels may also form transparent films, which have novel optical and electromechanical properties.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of cosmetic care that consists of applying, on at least one area of the body, a cosmetic composition containing an elastic mixture consisting of at least one starch, at least one polymer selected from polyvinyl alcohols, vinylpyrrolidone polymers and copolymers and latex, at least one polyol, and optionally water. The mixture imparts elasticity to the cosmetic product applied on the surface of the skin naturally subjected to deformations, such as the changes of facial expression, pressure of the fingers by contact, or contact with clothing.
Abstract:
The subject of the present invention is a method for characterizing the distribution of the volumes of the surface of the skin of an individual, more particularly applicable in the evaluation of the effect of firming cosmetic products. This method uses the isolines and the gradients of the slopes computed from a three-dimensional representation of the surface of the skin.
Abstract:
A make-up composition is for the skin, is prepared by a process and used in a makeup method. The cosmetic composition is intended for making up the skin. The composition has from 75 to 98% by weight of a powder or a mixture of powders, as well as at least one cosmetically acceptable fatty phase having at least one oil. The composition additionally includes a block copolymer of at least one styrene polymer and of at least one olefin polymer, the olefin being other than styrene, or a mixture of these block copolymers.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a solid cosmetic composition comprising anhydrous spheroids dispersed in a solid aqueous continuous phase. The invention is also directed toward a process for preparing a solid cosmetic composition according to the invention, and also a process for making up and/or caring for bodily and/or facial skin using a solid cosmetic composition according to the invention. The invention is also directed toward a stick or a solid gel cast in a dish or a pot, and more particularly a lipstick, a foundation, and an antisun stick, comprising a cosmetic composition according to the invention.
Abstract:
A mascara brush including a hollow envelope and at least one applicator element support extending from the envelope in cantilever, in which at least one applicator element support carries at least one applicator element at a free end of the at least one applicator element support.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition for topical application, said composition comprising the combination of a crosslinked oligo(ethylene glycol) based polymer in the form of an aqueous dispersion of microgel particles and a non-crosslinked water-soluble oligo(ethylene glycol) polymer. The invention also relates to a process for preparing this composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular eyelids. One of the aspects of the present invention is a colored cosmetic composition for making up eyes, in particular to eyelids, comprising: (i) at least one polymer which has a Tg of −30° C. or less; (ii) at least one hydrophilic thickener; (iii) at least one pigment; and (iv) water. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention can provide a good feeling during use and appropriate adhesiveness to fake eyelashes, and is stable over time.
