A dental carrier comprises a thermoplastic carrier. The thermoplastic carrier has a pattern structure. After heating the thermoplastic carrier, the thermoplastic carrier is provided with a user to be impressed by teeth or alveolar ridge for forming teeth or alveolar ridge model of the user. Compared to the prior art, the dental carrier of the present invention can provide the dental medicament contained in the pattern structure to be precisely applied and hold onto the treatment area and the medicament can be evenly coated on the teeth, root, or periodontal tissue for the treatment of teeth. When the dental carrier is not used to carry medicament, the pattern structure can improve the mechanical strength and fitness of the dental carrier to be used as a biteplate, orthodontic retainer, periodontal dressing for treatment or protection or mouth guard in sports.

The present invention develops a series of methyl caffeate derivatives having biological activity in anti-angiogenesis. The present invention suggests that the compounds of the invention possess inhibiting angiogenesis through regulation of VEGF/VEGFR-2 and its downstream signaling cascades in the vascular endothelial cells (VECs).

The disclosure provides an antigenic peptide targeting the extracellular, but not the intracellular, form of CETP to reduce the level of LDL (including oxLDL and other derivatives of LDL) and increase the level of HDL. Accordingly, the disclosure provides a CETP vaccine to overcome the low immunogenicity of CETP and for long-term inhibition of CETP activity to prevent or treat oxLDL or other LDL derivative-related diseases/symptoms.

The invention provides a highly aligned and closely packed hollow fiber assembly, wherein the assemblies of fibrous membrane has a width-to-fiber diameter ratio (W/d) larger than 10 and the orientation of the fibers is no larger than +/−10°. Also provided is an electrospinning process for the preparation of the fiber assembly of the invention and its applications.

The invention provides a method of enhancing a directional migration of stem cells, comprising providing one or more stem cell(s) and irradiating the stem cells with an effective energy of green light thereby enhancing stem cell directionally migrating, wherein the orientation of migration of stem cells is opposite to the green light source. Also provided is a stem cell treated by the method of the invention and a device for enhancing a directional migration of stem cells.

The invention relates to a kit and method for the capture of tumor cells in a body fluid sample. The kit and method of the invention can capture living tumor cells but not non-living tumor cells or cell fragments so that the tumor species can be further identified by further culture of the captured tumor cells. Also, the kit and method of the invention can readily identify whether a sample contains tumor cells and collect these tumor cells for further identification so that the presence of cancer and development of the metastasis and early relapse can be found.

The whole brain white matter amyloid PET image is extracted from the smoothed amyloid PET image in the range of the whole brain white matter mask of the normalized brain space, and the uptake value with the preset maximum ratio in the whole brain white matter amyloid PET image is calculated; in the smoothed amyloid PET image of the normalized brain space, one or more voxels in the range of the whole brain gray matter mask are marked and counted, in which each voxel uptake value of the one or more voxels is greater than the uptake value of the preset maximum ratio of the whole brain white matter amyloid PET image, and the one or more voxels are used for interpretation training and test of the classification of the machine learning.
