摘要: A luminescent converter 200, 220, 240, 260, a phosphor-enhanced light source and a luminaire are provided. The luminescent converter 200 comprises a first organic luminescent material 202, a second organic luminescent material 208 and a third inorganic luminescent material 206. The first organic luminescent material 202, the second organic luminescent material 208 and the inorganic luminescent material 206 absorb a portion of light emitted by the light source and/or absorbs a portion of light emitted by at least one of the other luminescent materials. 摘要: The present invention relates to light sensors for measuring light characteristics. In particular, the present invention relates to a light directionality sensor that is capable of measuring light characteristics such as the light direction, light collimation, and light distribution. According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a light directionality sensor comprising a photo-sensor (2), comprising a plurality of photo-sensitive elements (3), and a plurality of light-absorbing light selecting structures (1) arranged on the photo-sensor so as to form an array of light-absorbing light selecting structures. In the array of light-absorbing light selecting structures, a succession of at least some of the light-absorbing light selecting structures has varying structural characteristics. The varying structural characteristics is achieved by each individual structure of the succession being formed such that it allows light within a different angle interval with respect to the array to be sensed. Further, according to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a method for forming a light sensor according to the first aspect of the present invention.

摘要: The invention relates to a lighting apparatus (1) for generating a light pattern. A light source (4) generates a light beam (5) for being directed onto a liquid crystal cell (2). The liquid crystal cell (2) comprises a periodic structure (3). If voltage is applied to the liquid crystal cell (2) by a voltage source (8), a period phase pattern is generated. The liquid crystal cell (2) and the light source (4) are adapted such that multiple separate light beams (6) are generated in different directions by diffraction at the generated periodic phase pattern, wherein the multiple separate light beams (6) form the light pattern (7). Since the light pattern is generated by diffraction at the periodic phase pattern, which is modifiable by applying voltage, different light patterns can be generated, in particular, for decorative purposes, in a technically relatively simple way.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an optical integrator panel is provided. The method comprises the steps of: suspending a plurality of elongate particles in a liquid; applying an electric or magnetic field to the suspension to orientate the particles with parallel longitudinal axes; and solidifying the liquid to fix the orientation of the particles, thereby forming an optical integrator panel having a homogeneous distribution of elongate particles. An optical integrator panel is also provided. The optical integrator panel is adapted to reduce the angular dependence of contrast of a liquid crystal display. Specifically, the optical integrator panel is for placement in the path of reflected or transmitted light emitted by the liquid crystal display. The optical integrator panel comprises: a solid transparent panel; and a plurality of elongate particles homogeneously distributed in the panel, wherein the plurality of elongate particles are orientated with parallel longitudinal axes.
