    Abstract: A sampling system arranged such that a modulated signal received by an antenna and input via a low noise amplifier and a band-pass filter is sampled at a sampling frequency higher than the signal band of the modulated signal by a first sample and hold circuit and is input to an analog decimation filter to remove a frequency component which may turn out to be aliasing noise. The output of the analog decimation filter is sampled with a sampling frequency lower than the sampling frequency of the first sample and hold circuit by a second sample and hold circuit and is digitized by an A/D converter to be demodulated by a demodulator. The sampling system which can convert the modulated signal into a low frequency without using the highly precision mixer circuit or a filter having sharp characteristics may be provided by constructing as described above.

    Abstract: A zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having an improved weldability and plating properties, as well as a method for making the same is provided. Even when the substrate steel sheet is the one which is difficult to deposit a zinc or zinc-alloy layer by conventional methods, such as an extra low carbon steel sheet, the present invention enable a reliable production of a galvanized steel sheet suffering from no plating failure or insufficient adhesion as well as a reliable production of a galvannealed steel sheet suffering from no plating failure or streaking of the alloyed layer.The zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having improved weldability comprises an extra low carbon steel sheet, an iron-carbon plated layer or a carbon-rich layer generated by diffusion of the iron-carbon plated layer on at least one major surface of the extra low carbon steel sheet, and a zinc or zinc-alloy plated layer on the iron-carbon plated layer or the carbon-rich layer.The zinc or zinc-alloy plated steel sheet having improved weldability and/or plating properties is produced by depositing on the steel sheet an iron-carbon plated layer having a carbon content of from 0.01% by weight to 10% by weight to a coating weight of from 0 01 g/m.sup.2 to 10 g/m.sup.2, optionally annealing the iron-carbon plated steel sheet, and depositing a zinc or zinc-alloy plated layer, preferably by galvanizing or galvannealing, on the annealed steel sheet.

    Abstract: A plated steel sheet is produced by an electroplating in a plating bath of about 350.degree. to 500.degree. C. containing a chloride of Zn, a chloride of Mg and one, two or more of chlorides of Na, K and Li, with a plating current density ranging between about 20 and 350 A/dm.sup.2.The Zn-Mg alloy plated steel sheet superior both in plating adhesion and corrosion resistance has a plating layer formed on at least one surface thereof in an amount of about 10 to 60 g/m.sup.2, and by electroplating in a bath of a fused salts, the plating layer containing about 1 to 35 wt % of Mg, about 0.5 to 25 wt % of mean value of Fe and the balance substantially Zn and incidental inclusions. The Fe content in the plating layer has such a gradient that its concentration is greatest at the interface between the plating layer and the steel sheet and progressively decreases towards the surface of the plating layer opposite to the steel sheet where the Fe content is substantially zero. The plated steel sheet may further have a chromate treatment layer formed on the plating layer, with or without an organic coating film formed on the chromate treatment layer.

    Abstract: An individuality discriminating system wherein analog signals of a human individual picture are converted to digital signals according to brightness of the picture, and such digital signals are stored as individual picture data in an integrated-circuit (IC) card as compressed, with picture elements other than changed ones in the picture treated as zero picture elements, while in using the IC card by its bearer the thus stored data are read out of the card as expanded and analog-converted for display on a monitor.
