    摘要: Pyrolyzing gasification system and method of use including primary combustion of non-uniform solid fuels such as biomass and solid wastes within a refractory lined gasifier, secondary combustion of primary combustion gas within a staged, cyclonic, refractory lined oxidizer, and heat energy recovery from the oxidized flue gas within an indirect air-to-air all-ceramic heat exchanger or external combustion engine. Primary combustion occurs at low substoichiometric air percentages of 10-30 percent and at temperatures below 1000 degrees F. Secondary combustion is staged and controlled for low NOx formation and prevention of formation of CO, hydrocarbons, and VOCs. The gasifier includes a furnace bed segmented into individual cells, each cell is independently monitored using a ramp temperature probe, and provided with controlled air injection. Gasifier air injection includes tuyere arrays, lances, or both. The oxidizer includes three serially aligned stages separated by air injecting baffles, and ability to adjust the exit air temperature.

The ceramic cowling is designed and fabricated with non-dusting, high temperature, dense, low thermal expansion ceramic. It must also be highly resistant to thermal shock. Also, a combination of a ceramic cowling and a shroud for covering and holding the ceramic cowling on a Stirling engine or turbine such that hot gases can flow through the ceramic cowling and into the heat exchanger coil of the Stirling engine and exhaust in a controllable manner. A method of enhancing the power efficiency of a Stirling engine and with systems including the use of at least one enhanced power Stirling engine.

    摘要: Sail support device comprising a plurality of slides (1) adapted to be retained to a sail (21) by webbing (8A). The slides (1) are accommodated in a groove (3) of a track member adapted for mounting on a stay (23). Each slide (1) has an elongate hollow body (2) with a longitudinal aperture through the wall thereof enabling an eye (20) formed by the webbing (8A) to be inserted into the body (2). A pin (9A) is insertable into the body (2) and through the eye (20) and locates in the body (2) to anchor the webbing (8A) thereto. A gate section (22) of the track member is rotatable about a connector joining sections (4A, 4B) of the track member together to expose open ends of grooves (3) enabling the slides (1) to be slid thereinto. With alignment of the grooves (3) of the gate section (22) with those of the track member, the sail (21) can be raised with slides (1) travelling up the full length of the track member.
