Abstract:
A delivery unit for a liquid additive includes a first pump with a first suction port and a first pressure port, a second pump with a second suction port and a second pressure port, and a feed device. The feed device is connected to the first pressure port through a first line system and the first suction port is connected to a tank for the liquid additive through a second line system. The second pressure port is connected to the tank through a third line system and the second line system and the third line system are separated from one another. A method for operating a delivery unit and a motor vehicle having a delivery unit are also provided.
Abstract:
A method for operating an exhaust gas treatment device including an electric heater for heating an exhaust gas flow in the exhaust gas treatment device and/or a surface in the exhaust gas treatment device and a feed point for feeding an additive into the exhaust gas treatment device to impinge upon the electric heater, includes supplying additives to the feed point, determining an operational state of the exhaust gas treatment device, in which deposits can impinge upon the electric heater, using at least one state variable, determining a cycle frequency in dependence on the operating state when the operating state lies in a predetermined operating state range, and cyclically activating and deactivating the electric heater using the determined cycle frequency when the determined operating state lies in the predetermined operating state range. A motor vehicle having the exhaust-gas treatment device is also provided.
Abstract:
A device for storing or supplying an operating fluid includes a tank with an interior space and a protrusion which protrudes into the interior space and has a circumferential surface. At least one electrode for determining a filling level is disposed radially, running around the circumferential surface. Methods for mounting such a device and for monitoring a reserve filling level as well as a motor vehicle are also provided.
Abstract:
A supporting pin for supporting an electrically heatable honeycomb body on a first honeycomb body includes a first end region, a second end region, an intermediate region, a core made of electrically non-conductive ceramic material and a metalized surface on at least one end region. The intermediate region is electrically non-conductive and has a length of at least 3 mm, preferably 5 to 15 mm. The supporting pin is particularly suitable for stabilizing electrically heatable honeycomb bodies in exhaust gas treatment systems for internal combustion engines, particularly for motor vehicles. When higher electrical voltages, such as 48 V, are used for electrically heatable honeycomb bodies, good electrical isolation is also assured in exhaust gas systems carrying soot particles with simultaneous safe support and suppression of vibrations.
Abstract:
A device for providing liquid reducing agent includes a tank with an interior space and a vessel disposed at least partially in the interior space of the tank. The vessel is at least partially surrounded on the outside by a filter having a filter surface and a filter depth. A delivery unit disposed in the vessel is configured to deliver reducing agent from the tank, through the filter and to an extraction point for reducing agent. A motor vehicle having the device is also provided.
Abstract:
A method for operating an exhaust gas treatment device having at least one heater and at least one supply device for a reducing agent includes initially carrying out a test in order to determine if the reducing agent is to be supplied, and subsequently implementing different heating strategies in each case. In the event that the reducing agent is to be supplied, the exhaust gas treatment device is heated with the heater until a first threshold temperature is reached, if a first temperature lies below the first threshold temperature. In the case when no reducing agent is to be fed, the exhaust gas treatment device is heated with the heater until a second threshold temperature is reached, if a second temperature lies below the second threshold temperature. A motor vehicle having the device is also provided.
