Abstract: The invention includes a solid rinse aid that is particularly designed for pressed or extrusion solid formation and which is effective for spotless surfaces after rinsing, especially rinsing metals without corrosion. According to the invention, a solid acid is combined with a short-chain alkylbenzene and alkyl naphthalene sulfonate. The short-chain alkylbenzene and alkyl naphthalene sulfonate act as a solidification agent as well as a hydrotrope, and total dissolved solid (TDS) active and are combined with at least one nonionic low foaming surfactant.

Abstract: Stable solid compositions employing a water conditioning agent, including hygroscopic species or non-hygroscopic species. In particular, solid compositions combining an ionic surfactant or an amphoteric surfactant with a water conditioning agent, preferably a polyacrylate water conditioning agent, are disclosed. The ionic surfactant or amphoteric surfactant beneficially stabilize the polymer and/or chelant water conditioning agent, preferably a polyacrylate water conditioning agent, to permit formulation into a solid composition and provide stability under harsh conditions, including humid environments. Applications of using the stable solid compositions are also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed are hard water-resistant antimicrobial composition for use in cleaning surfaces, wherein the compositions comprise a carboxylic acid, an alkyl sulfate, and a sulfonate. Further disclosed are methods of using the same, wherein the antimicrobial compositions provides an at least a 3-log reduction of a microbial population within 10 minutes of contact with the surface. Beneficially, the compositions are stable in hard water, do not require a rinse step, and leave little or no residue on treated surfaces.

Abstract: Solid rinsing, cleaning and/or sanitizing compositions for various applications are provided. In particular, solid compositions include a complex of urea and an acid having desirable storage stability previously unavailable in solid urea/acid compositions. Stable solid compositions are disclosed and methods of making the same to overcome conventional limitations associated with forming kinetically and thermodynamically stable solids that utilize urea/acid compositions.

Abstract: No rinse, low pH food contact disinfecting and sanitizing compositions comprising one or more quaternary ammonium compounds in combination with an acid source are provided. The compositions include antimicrobial quaternary ammonium compounds such as alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides (ADBAC), alkyl dimethyl ethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides (ADEBAC), dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chlorides (DAAC), or a combination thereof together with an organic acid. The disinfecting and sanitizing compositions and methods of using the same provide enhanced microbial kill at an acidic pH and even at very low concentrations of the antimicrobial quaternary ammonium compound.

Abstract: Liquid multipurpose alkaline compositions for use as pre-sprays to beneficially remove polymerized soils, de-stain, remove hard water deposits and/or otherwise assist in general cleaning of difficult soils are provided. The multipurpose alkaline compositions include at least one non-hydroxide alkaline source, at least one surfactant, a chelant and a solvent system. The multipurpose alkaline compositions can be PPE free compositions. Methods of using the multipurpose alkaline compositions as pre-treatments, soaks and/or application in machine and manual warewash are also provided. Methods for using the multipurpose alkaline compositions for removing tea stains, coffee stains, hard water scale/deposits, polymerized oils, carbonized soils, fats, oils, and cosmetics are further provided.
