Process for dyeing cellulose fibers or cellulose blend fibers, which comprises dyeing the fibers mentioned with water-soluble reactive dyes which contain in the dye molecule at least once the structural element of the formula ##STR1## in which Y denotes a hydroxyl, hydroxymethyl, alkoxy C.sub.1 -C.sub.4, aldehyde, carboxamide, monoalkyl C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -carboxamide, dialkyl C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -carboxamide, monophenyl carboxamide, cyano, alkyl C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -oxycarbonyl or sulfo group or a halogen atom, in an aqueous medium within the pH range 4-11.

Phthalocyanine compounds of the general formula ##STR1## in which Pc is the radical of copper, cobalt or nickel phthalocyanine which can be substituted by chlorine or phenyl, a denotes a whole or fractional number from 1 to 3, b denotes a whole or fractional number from 1 to 3 and c denotes a whole or fractional number from zero to 2, it being possible for a, b and c to be identical or different from one another, but the total of (a+b+c) is equal to a whole or fractional number from 2 to 4, R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 C atoms, A is a direct bond or a group of the general formula --(CH.sub.2).sub.m -- or --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --NH-- in which m denotes a whole number from 1 to 4 and n denotes a whole number from 2 to 6, B is the phenylene or naphthylene radical which can be substituted by alkyl having 1 to 4 C atoms, alkoxy having 1 to 4 C atoms, halogen, carboxy, sulfo, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, alkylsulfonyl having 1 to 4 C atoms, carboalkoxy having 2 to 5 C atoms, acetylamino and nitro, D represents a direct bond or a radical of the formula --CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --, Y represents the vinyl group or the .beta.-sulfatoethyl, .beta.-phosphatoethyl, .beta.-thiosulfatoethyl, .beta.-hydroxyethyl or .beta.-chloroethyl group and X is a hydrogen atom or the equivalent of a monovalent, bivalent or trivalent metal.

Azo developing dyestuffs are produced by diazotizing on the fiber a mono- to tetramine derived from a metal-containing or metal-free phthalocyanine, the amino group(s) being bound to a phenyl or naphthyl group (which may be substituted) which is linked via a bridge member to the phthalocyanine which may further contain up to 3 optionally substituted sulfon amide groups and up to 3 sulfo groups, and coupling said diazotized amino onto azoic coupling components usual for preparing developing dyestuffs.

A water-soluble monoazo dyestuff having in form of the free acid the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN A represents the radical of a coupling component of the pyrazolone series, X represents the grouping --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 or --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --Z, in which Z stands for a hydroxy group or an inorganic or organic radical capable of being split off by an alkaline agent, and m and n each represent the integer 1 or 2, said dyestuffs being highly suitable for the dyeing or printing of leather or textile materials consisting of wool, silk, polyamides, native or regenerated cellulose and yielding on cellulose fibrous materials in the presence of alkaline agents bright dyeings or prints of good to very good fastness to light and wet processing and of good resistance to alkaline agents.

There are disclosed azo compounds conforming to formula (1) shown and defined hereinafter, and the preparation thereof. Phthalocyanine dyes, in particular copper phthalocyanine and nickel phthalocyanine dyes which contain one or more groups of the formula given and defined below ##STR1## or one or more carboxy groups or both groups and which furthermore can contain one or more sulfo groups, customary sulfonamide groups and/or groups of the formula given and defined below ##STR2## dye hydroxy- and/or carboxamide-containing materials, in particular fiber materials, such as cellulose fiber materials, wool and polyamide fibers, in fast, predominantly green hues of high color strength.In the formulae: R is hydrogen or a lower substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic radical, A is an aromatic carbocyclic or aromatic heterocyclic radical or an alkylene radical, which may be interrupted by 1 or 2 hetero groups, X is a direct bond or a divalent organic bridging member or together with the group --N(R)-- forms the divalent radical of a saturated heterocycle containing two N atoms, Y, in the case where A is an aromatic radical, is a direct bond or a carbamoylalkylene group or a methylene, ethylene, methylamino or .beta.-cyanoethylamino group, or Y is lower alkylene, in which case the grouping --X--A-- must be a direct bond and m is 2, Z is a fiber-reactive group of the vinylsulfonyl series and m is the number 1 or 2.
