    摘要： A disposable diaper is provided with elastically stretchable waist areas extending in a transverse direction along respective end portions of front and rear waist regions and a pair of elastically stretchable wing areas extending outward in the transverse direction from the side edge portions of the rear waist region. The side edge portions of the rear waist region are respectively interposed between the stretchable waist area and the stretchable wing areas. The stretchable wing areas have a transverse stretch stress higher than a transverse stretch stress of the stretchable waist area, so the tensile force exerted on the stretchable wing areas is segmentalized and restrained by the side edge portions of the rear waist region.

    摘要： An embroidery frame carrier for an embroidery sewing machine is disclosed which moves an embroidery frame holding work cloth to be embroidered in two mutually perpendicular directions. The embroidery frame carrier includes a carriage, a carrier mechanism freely moving the carriage in the two directions, an engagement mechanism including an engagement groove formed on either one of the carriage or the connector of the embroidery frame and an engagement mounted on the other so as to engage the engagement groove, the engagement mechanism engaging the connector to the carriage so that the connector is slidable on the carriage, a lock portion of the carriage to lock the connector of the embroidery frame to a predetermined location in a sliding direction, a lock mechanism to lock the connector engaged by the engagement mechanism in a fixed state, and a lock member of the lock mechanism to be switched between a pressed position in which the connector is pressed against the fastener and a released position in which the connector is released from a pressed state.

    摘要： A tape cassette of this invention is equipped with a memory capable of accommodating management information. The memory retains an MIC logical format type designating a format state, either formatted or unformatted, of the magnetic tape. A check is made on the consistency between the format state designated by the MIC logical format type and the format state estimated by reading data from the magnetic tape. If an inconsistency is detected, that is interpreted to mean that the tape cassette has been tampered with, and read and write operations on the cassette are controlled accordingly. This enhances security against fraudulent uses of a tape drive system loaded with the tape cassette.

    摘要： A pressing portion is formed at one end portion of a horizontal wall portion of a cloth feeding unit, a bed portion is installed with a moving member pressed by the pressing portion and a slide member pressed to move by the moving member, a pivoting lever is pivoted by moving the slide member, a switch lever is switched to a drop position by the pivoting lever and a follower of the switch lever is switched to a position in correspondence with an escape driving cam. At such a time, a contact portion of the moving member is exposed to outside of a machine cover and can be visually observed and an operating portion of the slide member can be observed visually by being exposed to the outside via a notched window.
