    摘要: The heat exchanger of the present invention provides a plurality of tubes defining refrigerant passages extending vertically from a lower end to an upper end. According to an exemplary embodiment, the refrigerant passages carry superheated refrigerant. A bottom header is in fluid communication with the passage at the lower end of the tube, and a top header is in fluid communication with the passage at the upper end of the tube. A plurality of plates extend rearwardly from the tubes to a distal edge. Adjacent plates extending from adjacent tubes are closed off at the distal edges by a connector, and adjacent plates extending from the same tube have a rear opening between the distal edges for receiving air into the assembly. A plurality of orifices are disposed along the plates to allow air from the rear opening to flow downstream between the tubes. A water tank and wicking material are provided for wetting the plates. The water abstracts heat from air passing over the plates and evaporates into the airstream. The cooled air continues downstream toward the tubes, and receives heat rejected from the superheated refrigerant.

The filling operation is continued until all air is purged from the system. The central block bore also retains a solid fill of coolant, and when shifted back to the normal operating system, no air is introduced into the system.

An outer wall interconnects the base plate to the condenser plate to define a sealed chamber with a working fluid being disposed within the sealed chamber.     摘要: A heat sink assembly for cooling an electronic device comprises a fan housed in a shroud, the fan including a hub and fan blades extending therefrom for causing an axially directed airflow through the shroud upon rotation of the fan blades. A thermosiphon comprises an evaporator defining an evaporating chamber containing a working fluid therein and further including a condenser mounted thereabove. The thermosiphon is positioned at one end of the shroud such that the fan is aligned with the condenser for directing the axial airflow therethrough. The condenser includes a plurality of tubes forming a tube grouping. Each tube having an opening in fluid communication with the evaporator and for receiving and condensing vapor of the working fluid received from the evaporator. The tubes are axially aligned with the airflow and are laterally positioned such that a lateral width of the tube grouping is approximately equal to a width of the hub and substantially in lateral alignment therewith.

    摘要: An air conditioning system including an evaporator having a manifold and a plurality of tubes extending downward in a vertical direction from the manifold. The evaporator defines at least one PCM tank engaging the manifold for storing a phase change material. When operating in a first operating mode, heat is transferred from the phase change material to the refrigerant to freeze and cool the phase change material. When operating in a second operating mode, heat is transferred from the refrigerant to the frozen phase change material to condense the refrigerant. The condensed refrigerant falls downwardly through the tubes and receives heat from a flow of air to cool the air and evaporate the refrigerant. The evaporated refrigerant rises upwardly back to the low pressure of the cold manifold.

The thermoelectric heat exchanger pulls heat from the working air exiting the indirect evaporative cooler and injects that heat energy into ambient air that is then forced through a portion of the rotating desiccant wheel to regenerate the desiccant by removing water molecules from the desiccant material. Liquid water that is condensed by cooling the working air with the thermoelectric heat exchanger is saved and provided to the indirect evaporative cooler for use to cool via evaporation.

The evaporative cooler includes a plurality of parallel tubular dry channels and a plurality of tubular wet channels. Each of the channels is defined by two parallel side walls, a top, and a bottom. A first plurality of dry channels defines a plurality of apertures in the side walls thereof for conveying air out of the respective dry channel and into an adjacent wet channel. A second plurality of dry channels alternates with the first plurality and is disposed between two wet channels and defines a plurality of cooler apertures in the tops thereof for conveying cooled air out of the second plurality of alternating dry channels and to the auxiliary cooler.
