Abstract: A user equipment (LTE) for operation in a fifth-generation system (5GS) is configured to decode configuration information for a first hybrid-automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) (HARQ-ACK) codebook for first priority HARQ-ACK bits and for a second HARQ-ACK codebook for second priority HARQ-ACK bits. The configuration information may indicate a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource for the first HARQ-ACK codebook and a PUCCH resource for the second HARQ-ACK codebook. The UE may multiplex the first priority HARQ-ACK bits and the second priority HARQ-ACK bits in a PUCCH transmission when the PUCCH resources for the first and the second HARQ-ACK codebooks overlap. The LTE may use the PUCCH resource for the higher priority HARQ-ACK bits to multiplex the first priority HARQ-ACK bits and the second priority HARQ-ACK bits.

Abstract: Systems and methods for downlink transmission using a wideband unlicensed band carrier in 5G networks are described. The gNB determines, based on LBT, which LBT subchannel(s) in a BWP are available during a COT. The gNB transmits an indication of the available subchannels in DCI format 2_0 of a GC-PDCCH of one of the available subchannels and subsequently transmits a PDSCH using the available subchannel(s). The gNB may configure multiple opportunities during the COT and transmit the GC-PDCCH after the initial opportunity. The PDSCH is transmitted on all available subchannels during the COT and, during an initial portion of the COT, may transmit the PDSCH by puncturing symbols of the unavailable subchannels. The indication may include a bitmap of available subchannels or if the LBT outcome is not available, may indicate all or none of the subchannels or available or that the outcome is not available.

Abstract: An apparatus for use in a UE includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the UE for a 4-step random access procedure with a gNB in a 5G-NR network, the processing circuitry is to encode a first message for transmission to the gNB using a PRACH, the first message including a random access preamble. A second message received from the gNB in response to the first message is decoded. The second message includes a MAC RAR with an uplink (UL) grant and an indication of an LBT procedure type or a channel access and CP extension. An LBT procedure based on the LBT procedure type or the channel access and CP extension provided in the indication is performed. Data is encoded for transmission to the gNB based on successful completion of the LBT procedure, the transmission using a PUSCH, and a UL resource indicated by the UL grant.

Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for HARQ-ACK transmission in an NR network, the processing circuitry is to decode DCI received via a PDSCH. The DCI includes resource assignments, a set index, and a reset indicator for a set of PDSCHs. Downlink data associated with the set index and received via the set of PDSCHs using the resource assignments is decoded. A PUCCH is encoded for transmission to a base station to include a HARQ-ACK of the decoded downlink data associated with the set index. The PUCCH is encoded to further include a second HARQ-ACK for a prior PDSCH reception, when the prior PDSCH reception includes PDSCHs associated with the set index and the reset indicator matches a reset indicator of the prior PDSCH reception.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a fifth-generation new radio (5G NR) system may be configured for Type-2 Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledge (ACK) (HARQ-ACK) codebook grouping and HARQ-ACK retransmission. The UE may decode a downlink control information (DCI) format for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) group of one or more PDSCHs. The DCI format may include a downlink assignment index (DAI) comprising a counter DAI (C-DAI) for the scheduled PDSCH group. The DCI format may also include a total DAI (T-DAI) for at least one of the scheduled PDSCH group and a non-scheduled PDSCH group. When the DCI format includes a new feedback indicator field for at least one of the scheduled PDSCH group and the non-scheduled PDSCH group, the UE may multiplex HARQ-ACK bits only for PDSCH receptions for transmission in a PUCCH transmission occasion scheduled by the DCI format and may refrain from multiplexing HARQ-ACK bits for PDSCH receptions that are not scheduled by the DCI format. For HARQ-ACK retransmission, the UE may retransmit HARQ-ACK bits from more than one PDSCH group in the PUCCH transmission occasion.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling to obtain a cyclic shift value in time domain. The cyclic shift value is associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port (AP) of a plurality of available DM-RS APs. A single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence corresponding to the DM-RS AP is generated using a base sequence and the cyclic shift value. The single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence is encoded with uplink data for transmission to a base station using a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using a carrier above the 52.6 GHz carrier frequency.
