摘要: An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus for optically recording/reproducing information by irradiating a track on a recording medium with a light comprises: a detecting circuit, a tracking error signal producing circuit, and a tracking control circuit. The detecting circuit selectively detects a circular area having a diameter smaller than a diameter of a light beam reflected from the recording medium and obtains an output signal corresponding to the detected circular area. The tracking error signal producing circuit produces, from the output signal of the detecting circuit, a tracking error signal indicating a shift in a position of a light beam irradiated on the recording medium in a track width direction. The tracking control circuit controls an irradiation position of a light beam irradiated on the recording medium in the track width direction based on the tracking error signal.

摘要: In a case where tracking control is carried out by a lens actuator in performing a tracking pull-in operation in which tracking control is started in the state where tracking control is out of operation, the tracking control circuit brings control into stable tracking control by moving the light spot onto a groove on the optical disc. After that, when tracking onto a land is needed, the tracking control circuit moves the light spot onto the land. This enables a pull-in action toward a stable tracking operation.

摘要: An RSSI detector 2 detects the electric field level of a received signal, and a transmission rate determiner 5 determines an initial transmission rate value from the detected electric field level. A radio unit 1 transmits the determined initial value to a base station 20. In response thereto, the base station 20 transmits a control signal at the assigned initial transmission rate value. A bit error rate value detector 4 detects a bit error rate of the control signal, and a transmission rate determiner 5 finely regulates the initial value according to the detected bit error rate. An optimal transmission rate is thus determined.

摘要: First and second beam splitters are arranged on the optical path of a light beam emerging from a recording surface, and such that the phases and amplitudes of the respective polarized light components of a light beam incident thereon are changed to equal extends. As a result of this arrangement, the state of polarization beam of the light beam emerging from the recording surface is maintained when a light beam is outputted through the two beam splitters. Stable reproduction signals and servo control signals for focusing, tracking, and the like can be reliably supplied by utilizing an apparatus of this invention.

摘要: A film-forming system comprising a vacuum chamber and an electroconductive partition plate dividing said vacuum chamber into a plasma generating space provided with a high-frequency electrode and a film-forming treatment space provided with a substrate-retaining mechanism for holding a substrate mounted thereon. A gas for generating desired active species by discharge plasma is introduced into the plasma generating space. Said desired active species are supplied to the film-forming treatment space through a plurality of penetration holes formed in the electroconductive partition plate for communicating the plasma generating space with the film-forming treatment space. Said electroconductive partition plate has a first internal space separated from the plasma generating space and communicating with the film-forming treatment space via a plurality of material gas diffusion holes. A material gas is introduced from the outside into said first internal space and supplied into the film-forming treatment space through a plurality of said material gas diffusion holes. Said electroconductive partition plate further has a second internal space separated from said first internal space and communicating with said film-forming treatment space via a plurality of gas diffusion holes. A gas other than said material gas is introduced from the outside into said second internal space. A film is deposited on the substrate by a reaction between said active species and said material gas supplied to said film-forming treatment space.

摘要: The present invention provides a human β-defensin secretion promoter that can be used in various forms, such as external preparation, internal preparation, food, etc., and promotes human β-defensin secretion. An organic acid has an effect of promoting the secretion of human β-defensin, particularly human β-defensin-2, and therefore the organic acid is used as an active ingredient of a human β-defensin secretion promoter. Furthermore, by adding the human β-defensin secretion promoter to external preparations, internal preparations, or foods, a human β-defensin secretion promotion effect can be imparted thereto.
