Abstract:
A method and system for mapping logical fabric ports to line ingress queues. The system provides for the mapping of line ingress queues to logical destination ports instead of to physical fabric ports. The association of ingress queues with logical destination ports enables a doubling of the switch port capacity that is available when redundancy is employed on all switch ports within the switching fabric. The method and system provides for the distributed broadcasting of mapping table updates. The system employs a multi-shelf switching fabric. Upon the active-standby switchover of a shelf line card, the shelf manager on the impacted shelf, broadcasts by means of a broadcast control cell (BCC), mapping table updates to the TM ASICs associated with each shelf in the shelf cluster. These updates include the current logical to physical port mappings of the logical and the physical ports located on the impacted shelf.
Abstract:
Techniques for registering certificates after the issuance of the certificates are provided. A service provider securely registers a client's identity and its certificate without depending on or using an existing basis of trust, such as that provided by domain-joined clients or a security directory (e.g., MICROSOFT's ACTIVE DIRECTORY). The service provider provides services, such as, by way of example and not a limitation, email services, web application services, application services, etc., based on identifiers (e.g., service IDs) issued to registered clients. The service provider subsequently uses the issued identifier to authenticate a client requesting a service or services, and to authorize the client to receive the requested service or services.
Abstract:
The cloning of a novel PCVII viral genome is described as is expression of proteins derived from the PCVII genome. These proteins can be used in vaccine compositions for the prevention and treatment of PCVII infections, as well as in diagnostic methods for determining the presence of PCVII infections in a vertebrate subject. Polynucleotides derived from the viral genome can be used as diagnostic primers and probes.
Abstract:
Uncured composite materials (prepreg) are provided that are stable at room temperature over relatively long periods of time. The prepreg includes a solid epoxy resin matrix composed of a crystalline epoxy resin and a solid curing agent. The curing agent is preferably crystalline. The prepreg may include one or more property enhancement layers that increase the tackiness of the prepreg, increase the flexibility of the prepreg and/or reduce the amount of solid resin matrix that flakes from the prepreg during handling.
Abstract:
A cartridge picker uses only one picker drive motor (4) to perform all of the following operations: [1] open and close gripper fingers (8); (2) translate a cartridge (3) in and out of a storage slot in a library (e.g., magazine or the like) or tape drive (2); and [3] push the cartridge (3) into the tape drive (below the flush plane of the drive bezel).
Abstract:
An automated cartridge library (30) has plural cartridge receiving units which are precisely locatable so that a transport device (300) can accurately move a cartridge (90) between at least two of the cartridge-receiving units. The cartridge-receiving units and/or calibration cartridges inserted therein have an indicia (190) which is of contrasting reflectivity, the indicia having at least two sides (191, 192) which meet at a vertex (193). An illumination source (340) on the cartridge transport device makes two sweeps (Y1, Y2) of an illuminating beam over the indicia. Illumination transitions as detected by a sensor (350) during the two sweeps are used to determine a location of the indicia vertex (193). In the case of a cartridge-receiving unit being a multi-celled cartridge magazine, a rear wall (220) of the magazine has an aperture (222) for each cell. A mounting surface (60) upon which the magazine is mounted has a reflective portion (130) which is exposed through the aperture of the rear wall of the magazine when a cartridge is not in a predetermined cell in the magazine. To detect absence of a cartridge or a magazine, the illumination source directs an illuminating beam toward a predetermined position. A cartridge absence sensor (350) detects illumination reflected from the reflective portion of the mounting surface when the predetermined position is devoid of either a cartridge or a magazine.
Abstract:
A flare tip structure has a tubular component usually mounted at the top of a flare sack which emits waste gas into the atmosphere for disposal by combustion with the aid of one or more pilot burners. Several fluid injectors are mounted inside the component and emit cones of injection fluid, such as natural around the axis of the tubular component. A deflector assists the injectors in creating a cushion of fluid just above the opening of the tubular component to space the combustion flame away from the opening. This allows surrounding air to flow into the gap between the opening and the combustion flame and to mix with waste gas prior to combustion to suppress smoke.
Abstract:
A phosphonate ester (vinyl phosphonic acid reacted with equimolar diol) will cure on command (e.g. exposure to light) in the presence of an initiator. By adding inert filler, poly(vinyl phosphonic acid), ion-leachable glass powder and water, a command-curable dental cement with glass ionomer characteristics is obtained.
Abstract:
A glass ionomer cement composition comprises poly(vinyl phosphonic acid) dissolved in its own mass of water; and (in treble the total mass of the solution) a powder, being glass or MgO or a cement. The powder has to be deactivated so that the setting reaction with the acid is not too fast, and this is achieved either by a raised Si:Al ratio or by heat-treating. The glass contains heavy ions such as La, Ba or Sr.
Abstract:
A session border controller includes a first port to communicate with a user using a first signaling protocol, a second port to communicate with a content provider using a second signaling protocol, and a processor coupled to the first and second ports. The session border controller may send a PLAY message to the content provider to begin delivery of a content destined for the user. The session border controller may further receive a first media stream including the content and content provider information from the content provider. The session border controller may further create a second media stream that includes the content without the content provider information, and deliver the second media stream to the user.
