Abstract:
A magnetic disk device includes a hub and a clamper. The hub has a hole portion including a first fitting portion, and a mounting portion mounting a magnetic disk. Besides, the damper has: an inserting portion including, an opening, slits heading toward an outer peripheral from the opening, and a second fitting portion; and a pressing portion pressing the magnetic disk. The magnetic disk is mounted on the mounting portion of the hub, the inserting portion of the damper is inserted into the hole portion of the hub, and thereby, the first and the second fitting portions are fitted together to fix the magnetic disk to the hub. At this time, the inserting portion has slits, and thereby, the elastic deformation becomes easy, and enabling a detachment and attachment of the clamper from/to the hub. Moreover, any dedicated fixture or screw is not necessary to attach the clamper.
Abstract:
Shape data relative to a hemmed edge in view of production technique requirements is added to shape data relative to a design surface using a CAD system. Curvatures of curved lines, curvatures of curved surfaces, offsets and distances between shape surfaces, and angles between shape surfaces of the shape data are analyzed and verified.
Abstract:
A bimetal 40 is secured at a holding portion 40b to a fixed pin 52 and a snap portion 40a is supported by a support portion 12a. The free end 40a" of the snap portion 40a comes in contact with a movable contact plate 30 to thereby rock the plate 30. The displacement of the snap portion 40a is restricted at a boundary end portion 40a' by the holding portion 40b. Due to this, when the thermal protector carries out a snap action (or is reversed), the snap portion 40a is rocked like a lever around the support portion 12a supporting the snap portion 40a, and the free end 40a" of the snap portion 40a is greatly displaced. Thus, the travelling distance by which the movable contact 32 travels when the movable contact plate 30 is rocked, can be increased. This can prevent a delay in snap.
Abstract:
A multilayer resin molding, utilizing coated resin moldings, composed of a core material and a surface layer covering the core material, the core material being composed of a resin composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a crushed material of coated polyolefin resin moldings compounded with from 3 to 15 parts by weight of an ethylene polymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 180,000 and the surface layer comprising a polypropylene resin composition comprising from 30 to 80% by weight of a propylene polymer, from 3 to 20% by weight of a propylene polymer modified with an unsaturated hydroxy compound, from 15 to 40% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer, and from 0.1 to 10% by weight of an oligomer having a functional group at the terminal thereof.
Abstract:
A silicon single crystal pulling-up apparatus includes a silica glass crucible for accommodating a melted silicon material, a cylindrical member made of a carbon composite material which is composed of a carbon fiber wound round a cylinder, impregnated with a resin and carbonized, disposed on an upper end of a cylindrical portion of the crucible for accommodating the melted silicon in association with the cylindrical portion of the crucible, a wall thickness of the cylindrical member being not more than 3 mm, a rotational shaft for rotating the crucible, and a crucible support fixed to an upper end of the rotational shaft for supporting the crucible.
Abstract:
A foam liquid dispensing device which mixes liquid capable of foaming and air together and dispenses the mixture as aerosol. The dispensing device comprises a container and a cap detachably attached to the container. The cap includes an outer cover and an inner cover. The outer cover includes a frusto-conical upper portion provided on the top with a jet nozzle. The inner cover includes an inner cylindrical portion having a frusto-conical portion extending upwardly therefrom and provided with a discharge port and a plug at the upper end of the frusto-conical portion, with the frusto-conical portion and plug defining a flow passage in cooperation with the frusto-conical portion of the outer cover. An inverted cylindrical porous member is disposed within the inner cover and has a mixing chamber therein and is provided with an outlet at the top. A check valve is disposed within the mixing chamber below the outlet. A tubular support member is received in the mixing chamber and a pipe is disposed between the container and tubular support member whereby one fluid from the container flows through the interior of the tubular member into the mixing chamber and the other fluid from the container flows through a side flow path defined between the annular support member and is cylindrical skirt of the inner cover and pores in the porous member into the mixing chamber to mix with the one fluid therein. When the container is compressed, the check valve clogs the outlet and the air and liquid mixture flows through the porous member to form an aerosol which flows through the jet nozzle.
Abstract:
An indicating device for use in an electronic watch circuit indicating visually on the dial of the watch that the power cell in the circuit is operating properly and the circuit itself is operating properly. Cessation of the visual signal indicates that the cell should be replaced. The device uses a light-emitting element energized intermittently by pulses generated in the watch's electronic driving circuit. The threshold voltage of the light-emitting element is higher than the voltage necessary to adequately drive the driving circuit for keeping time accurately. A drop of the voltage below this threshold results in absence of light emissions and this indicates the cell is near exhaustion and must be replaced.
Abstract:
A method of fragmenting a DNA sequence having a starting size of at least 10000 base pair into fragments having a mean size smaller than or equal to 1300 bp, wherein the DNA sequence is put in a solution, the solution comprising the DNA sequence is put in a container and the container is placed in a liquid bath which is subjected to the action of ultrasound waves such that the ultrasound waves travel through the liquid bath to excite the container and the solution so as to shear the DNA sequence, and wherein the ultrasound waves have a frequency falling in the range between 28 kHz and 80 kHz.
