    摘要: A fuel cell system comprises a hydrogen storage system for storing and releasing hydrogen, a fuel cell in fluid communication with the hydrogen storage system for receiving released hydrogen from the hydrogen storage system and for electrochemically reacting the hydrogen with an oxidant to produce electricity and an anode exhaust. A catalytic combustor is in fluid communication with the fuel cell for receiving the anode exhaust and for catalytically reacting the anode exhaust to produce an offgas having an elevated temperature that is greater than the temperature of the anode exhaust. The heat from the offgas is used to release the hydrogen from the hydrogen storage system.

    摘要: A method for forming buried ion-exchanged waveguides involves a two-step process. In a first step a waveguide is formed at the surface of a substrate using an ion-exchange technique. After formation of the waveguide, a field-assisted annealing is carried out to move the waveguide away from the surface of the substrate so that it is buried in the substrate. Exemplary field-assisted annealing is carried out at a temperature close to the ion-exchange temperature ±10° C. to optimize results.

    摘要: A rotation positioning device for a coil of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, having a cavity in the coil for accommodating a part to be examined, has a backing member that can freely rotate within this accommodating cavity. The backing member is provided with a first driving member and a first rotating member, and the coil is provided with a second driving member and a second rotating member. The first driving member and the second driving member form a transmission pair, and the first rotating member can rotate relative to the second rotating member under the drive of the first driving member and the second driving member. The second driving member can be driven manually or by an external driving source connected thereto to drive the first driving member, thereby driving the backing member to rotate via the cooperation of the first rotating member and the second rotating member. Also, by appropriate configuration of parameters, such as position and size, of the first driving member and the second driving member, the rotation angle or range of the backing member can be controlled precisely and quantitatively.

    摘要: A closed-loop control system for a DC motor includes a DC motor 12, a current sensor 14 for determining a current of the motor, a voltage sensor 32 for measuring a voltage of the motor 12, and a micro-controller 33. The micro-controller is constructed and arranged to (1) compare the determined current with a set point and output a pulse width modulated (PWM) duty cycle to control the motor, and (2) calculate a PWM duty cycle limit based on the measured voltage and compare the outputted PWM duty cycle to the PWM duty cycle limit such that when the outputted PWM duty cycle greater than the PWM duty cycle limit, the outputted PWM duty cycle is set to the PWM duty cycle limit. A method, in a DC motor, of preventing a current surge during severe voltage changes is also disclosed.

The manifold has a baffle (85) or ribs (121, 122) that causes constantly flowing engine exhaust (53) to enter the gas passages over a large portion of a revolution of the adsorption bed or the distributor, and causes constantly flowing regeneration gas (54) to thereafter pass through those passages during a small portion of each revolution. The passages may be formed by planar (66a) or helical (66b) radial walls (66), a serpentine wall (70), a monolith (126), or a honeycomb (127). Either the distributor (101) or the bed (57) may be rotated to distribute the gases.
