摘要: It is made possible to provide a flip-flop circuit capable of implementing the error correction function with a small area increase as far as possible and a pipeline system using such a flip-flop circuit. A flip-flop circuit includes: a flip-flop configured to operate based on a rising edge or a falling edge of a first clock signal; a decision circuit configured to compare an input of the flip-flop with an output thereof and output a request signal when the input of the flip-flop is different from the output thereof; and a control circuit configured to receive a second clock signal from outside and generate the first clock signal and a confirmation signal. When the request signal is sent from the decision circuit after the flip-flop has been activated, the control circuit inverts the first clock signal, sends the confirmation to the decision circuit, and makes the decision circuit cancel the request signal.

摘要: A video editing apparatus for setting an editing point for a video sequence comprising a device for successively extracting at least one vertical line from each of a plurality of video frames of the video sequence to produce vertical slits and successively arranging the vertical slits as a number of video images representing individual video frames in a horizontal direction to produce a video browser for browsing the video sequence, a display for displaying the video browser on a display, and an editing device for setting an editing point for the video sequence in a coordinated relationship to a time base of the video browser. Accordingly, even if the video sequence is relatively long, video images can be confirmed in a short time from the video browser, and the editing points can be decided in a short time.

摘要: Essentially pure curculin B is disclosed. A process for producing curculin B, includes the steps of: culturing a transformed cell or microorganism containing a recombinant DNA containing a base sequence encoding curculin B, whereby curculin B is produced by the transformed cell or microorganism, and isolating curculin B from the transformed cell or microorganism. A DNA encoding mature or premature curculin B is also disclosed. DNA including a base sequence encoding curculin B, is produced by: separating a fraction containing a curculin B mRNA from Curculigo latifolia, preparing a single-stranded DNA from the mRNA using reverse transcriptase, preparing a double-stranded DNA from the single-stranded DNA, inserting the double-stranded DNA into a vector, transforming a host with the vector to produce a cDNA library, and isolating a cDNA encoding curculin B from the library, using one or more synthesized DNA's containing a base sequence coding for a partial amino acid sequence elucidated from curculin A purified from Curculigo latifolia, as a probe.

摘要: An optical character recognition apparatus is comprised of an original document reading out section for generating an original character signal corresponding to light and shade of an original document, a character slice section for sequentially generating a slice signal corresponding to one character from the original character signal, a character recognition section for recognizing a character corresponding to the slice character signal, and a display section for displaying a recognized character in correspondence to the original document, wherein when a correction target character is found from the displayed characters, the correction target character and characters around the correction target character are displayed on the display section by utilizing the original character signal. Therefore, the operator can efficiently correct the correction target character without consulting the original document, and also the operator can easily confirm by an image of that original document that a separate character or the like is erroneously recognized.

摘要: An area to be recognized on a document is divided into subareas in a direction of lines of characters, and the dot patterns of the characters in each of the subareas are projected substantially in the direction of the lines of the characters to extract line blocks. Those of the extracted lines which fall within a predetermined width are selected and those line blocks which overlap each other in the direction of the lines of the characters are interconnected to provide the lines of the characters from which the dot patterns of the characters are to be extracted.

摘要: A character recognition system which is improved in accuracy of integration for discrete characters. The system discriminate a component of any discrete character in accordance with a height-to-width ratio and a vertical extraction position of a rectangular area which is formed from a character row signal delivered to the system. Rectangular areas or character areas to be integrated are decided in accordance with an average character pitch of square or em characters.

摘要: A character recognition system extracts character blocks to contain a minimum character unit therein. The character recognition system has the capability of re-combining and/or re-extracting character blocks during the character recognition process. Re-combination and re-extraction of the character blocks is controlled based on the history of the extraction process for each of the character blocks so that re-combination and re-extraction can be performed effectively.
