The size of the paper sheet on which the information is recorded is displayed by an LCD display in accordance with a detection result from a detection mechanism which detects the size of the paper sheet in accordance with the data associated with a size of the paper sheet on which the information is recorded from the data controller. The LCD display displays the size of the paper sheet when a manual feed switch detect that the paper sheet is manually fed.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus according to an embodiment of the invention reads an original by mechanically moving an axial light source in a subscanning direction perpendicular to the axis. The image forming apparatus includes: a sensor whose resolution in a main scanning direction parallel to the axis of the axial light source is higher than a designated resolution; a controller that controls the driving speed of the axial light source so that the resolution in the subscanning direction is higher than the designated resolution; an original-image-data generating unit that generates original image data with a resolution higher than the designated resolution in response to the output from the sensor; and an image reducing unit that generates reduced pixels fewer than a specified number of pixels in the original image data to generate a reduced image with a resolution equal to the designated resolution.

    摘要: In an apparatus for adjusting the intensity of a light beam, a first driving current which is stepwisely increased in a first cycle is supplied to a semiconductor laser. The light beam is deflected to scan a photosensitive drum and is detected to generate a positional signal by a photodetector outside of the drum. The intensity of the light beam is also detected by a monitor detector and compared with a predetermined target intensity. The comparison result is latched in a latch circuit to determine a first drive signal. When the intensity of the light beam reaches the target intensity after the generation of the positional signal, a second drive signal is generated in a second cycle longer than the first cycle instead of the first drive signal and is supplied to the semiconductor laser. The second drive signal is determined in accordance with the comparison result latched in the latch circuit.

The present recording apparatus comprises a motion control unit for controlling the transportation of the member to be recorded, and a film motion control unit for controlling the transportation of the film, synchronized with the transportation of the member to be recorded.Another configuration of the present invention is a recording apparatus which comprises a heating element having a plurality of printing dots a plurality of buffers each having capacity for a plurality of scanning lines in responce to the printing dots of the heating elements, recording control unit for controlling the recording of the heating element in a predetermined order by use of the buffers, and motion control unit for controlling the transportation of the member to be recorded by the heating element.

    摘要: In a recording apparatus, a developing agent image corresponding to an image information in accordance with data input through a data controller is formed on the surface of a photosensitive body by a laser scanner. The developing agent image is transferred to a paper sheet by a transfer charger, and the surface of the photosensitive body after a transfer operation is cleaned by a cleaning blade of a cleaning device. The recording apparatus comprises a developing agent applying mechanism which applies the developing agent to the surface of the photosensitive body, and which is operative when the laser scanner is not operated by a prescribed time.

    摘要: An image density detecting device for an image forming apparatus includes a light diffusing member made of a transparent resin. The light diffusing member has a substantially rectangular sectional profile, with the longitudinal dimension thereof greater than the width of the document, and it is disposed below the document such that it extends in the width direction thereof. The side of the light diffusing member opposite its light receiving surface constitutes a diffusing reflecting surface which is formed by forming blade-like notches on this side. A photodiode is embedded in the end face of the light diffusing member on the side thereof opposite the ends of the blade-like notches.Light reflected by a portion of the document between the opposite edges thereof is received on the light receiving surface of the light diffusing member and is focusedly reflected by the diffusing reflecting surface toward the end face on the side of the photodiode to be detected thereby.
