摘要： A video signal input-output circuit and a recording-reproduction apparatus in which a digitally compressed video signal input in packet form can be recorded and reproduced efficiently and in stable fashion. In this apparatus, a clock reference is detected from a packet signal containing the clock reference and a digitally compressed video signal, a time stamp for a packet is generated using a clock signal in phase with the clock reference and added to the particular packet, and the packet signals with the time stamp added thereto are recorded closely to each other in a data storage element such as a magnetic recording medium. At playback, the packet interval is output by being restored to the original length on the basis of the time stamp added to the packet in store.

摘要： PCM signals belonging to a first reproduction channel and a second reproduction channel and grouped into odd number data and even number data are previously recorded on a recording medium having a plurality of tracks in the form of frames each including at least a set of a first track and a second track. In the operation of reproducing the recorded PCM data, the PCM data reproduced by reproduction heads are stored in accordance with a first control signal, errors in the stored reproduced data are detected in accordance with a second control signal, the numbers of errors are counted, comparison is made between the error number of the odd number data and that of the even number data of the first channel and of the second channel, respectively, and the data which has been judged to include a larger number of errors are replaced by interpolated data and finally the interpolated data are mute-processed at the boundary between adjacent frames.

摘要： Method and apparatus for reproducing a PCM signal are disclosed. The PCM signal comprises a plurality of word-interleaved frames. Each frame comprises a plurality of data blocks and a parity block. Each data block comprises a plurality of words, each word comprises an upper symbol and a lower symbol arranged symbol by symbol. A plurality of upper symbols included in different blocks and a plurality of lower symbols included in the same word form a parity code generated from the symbols in the respective symbol sequences and a plurality of error detection/correction blocks. In the error flag processing of the PCM signal, the input PCM signal is reproduced, errors are detected and corrected based on the corresponding parity codes for a plurality of upper symbol error detection/correction sequences and a plurality of lower symbol error detection/correction sequences, error flags indicating the number of errors detected and the number of errors corrected are generated for the error detection/correction sequences based on the result of the error detection/correction, a flag indicating a maximum significant value is detected from two flags generated for the upper and lower symbol error detection/correction sequence of the same word and selecting that flag as a common flag to both sequences.

摘要： A content transmitter apparatus is provided which decides whether to permit a content receiver apparatus at a content transmission destination to retransmit content to another content receiver apparatus located inside a house and transmits to the content receiver apparatus the content along with an identifier indicating a permission or prohibition of the content retransmission. A content receiver apparatus is also provided which, when it receives encrypted content from the content transmitter apparatus, checks an identifier received together with the content in executing the content retransmission to another content receiver apparatus located outside the house. If the identifier is found to permit the content retransmission, the content receiver apparatus encrypts and retransmits the content to the outside-house content receiver apparatus. If the identifier is found to not permit the content retransmission, the content receiver apparatus does not retransmit the content to the outside of the house.
