摘要: Time synchronization of an access point base station. The method may include receiving an assignment message from a service provider comprising a plurality of parameters. The plurality of parameters may include an access point base station frequency assignment, a network identifier, an access point base station identifier, a neighbor list, a PN offset, and/or a scrambling code. The access point base station may then synchronize with the macro base station. Synchronizing may include searching for a strongest macro base station in the neighbor list, synchronizing a long code of the access point base station to the macro base station, estimating a propagation delay between the macro base station and the access point base station, and initializing a state of the access point base station PN code using the propagation delay to provide system time synchronization.

摘要: The invention provides a composition containing particulate composite of a polymer and a therapeutic agent. The composition also contains a complexing agent. The polymer interacts with the complexing agent in a host-guest or a guest-host interaction to form an inclusion complex. A therapeutic composition of the invention may be used to deliver the therapeutic agent and to treat various disorders. Both the polymer of the particulate composite and the complexing agent may be used to introduce functionality into the therapeutic composition. The invention also relates to a method of preparing a composition. The method combines a therapeutic agent, a polymer having host or guest functionality, and a complexing agent having guest or host functionality to form the therapeutic composition. The complexing agent forms an inclusion complex with the polymer. The invention also relates to a method of delivering a therapeutic agent. According to the method, a therapeutically effective amount of a therapeutic composition of the invention is administered to a mammal (e.g. person or animal) in recognized need of the therapeutic. Also disclosed are compounds having the formula:

摘要: Molecular sieves and the use of such materials as hydrocarbon traps, particularly for reducing the emissions associated with the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels are described. Specifically, the use of molecular sieves such as zeolites as adsorbents for hydrocarbon gases, especially exhaust gases such as are formed during the combustion of hydrocarbons, and more particularly to the adsorption of hydrocarbon gases formed during the cold start operation of an internal combustion engine is described. In one embodiment, a method of treating exhaust gas that comprises a hydrocarbon combustion product is provided, the method comprising contacting the exhaust gas with a CON topology molecular sieve for a time period effective to facilitate adsorption of the hydrocarbon combustion product by the molecular sieve; passing a purge gas through the molecular sieve to remove adsorbed hydrocarbon combustion product; and contacting the purge gas containing the removed hydrocarbon combustion product with a hydrocarbon conversion catalyst.

摘要: The present invention provides methods and compositions for attenuating expression of a target gene in vivo. In general, the method includes administering RNAi constructs (such as small-interfering RNAs (i.e., siRNAs) that are targeted to particular mRNA sequences, or nucleic acid material that can produce siRNAs in a cell), in an amount sufficient to attenuate expression of a target gene by an RNA interference mechanism. In particular, the RNAi constructs may include one or more modifications to improve serum stability, cellular uptake and/or to avoid non-specific effect. In certain embodiments, the RNAi constructs contain an aptamer portion. The aptamer may bind to human serum albumin to improve serum half life. The aptamer may also bind to a cell surface protein that improves uptake of the construct.

摘要: A rollable sports ballast base for supporting a sports apparatus support member comprising a base member which has a first edge and a second edge, a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface is adapted to contact a support surface such as a driveway or other playing surface. There is at least one wheel assembly for contacting the support surface. One of the wheel assemblies is retractable from a lowered position to a raised position such that when in the raised position, the bottom surface of the base member substantially contacts the support surface. In the lowered position, both wheel assemblies contact the support surface thereby separating or elevating the base member from the support surface. In another embodiment, the invention consists of a similar rollable sports base for supporting a sports apparatus support member wherein one wheel assembly is retractable and comprises a pivoting connector coupled to the base member and a wheel bracket coupled to the pivoting connector. The wheel bracket is adapted to receive an axle and at least one wheel, and is further provided with a handle extending outwardly from the wheel bracket. The handle is used to pivotally rotate the wheel assembly about a transverse axis such that when the handle is rotated away from the base member, the wheel contacts the support surface and the bottom surface of the base member is separated or elevated from the support surface.
