摘要: The present invention relates to capacitors utilizing an electric double layer formed in the interface of polarizable electrodes and an electrolyte. By using as the primary material of the polarizable electrodes an activated carbon in which the difference in titration value between the cases where sodium carbonate is used for neutralization titration of the activated carbon and where sodium hydrogencarbonate is used therefor is 0.195 meq/g or more to the weight of the activated carbon, the quantity of presence of the acidic functional group II (carboxyl group present as lactone) on the surface of the activated carbon is increased and, as a result, the affinity between the polarizable electrodes and the electrolyte is enhanced, thus providing electric double-layer capacitors low in variation with time and yet large in capacity.

摘要: Zn-Ni-alloy electroplating of steel sheets is carried out using a plating bath containing 10-40 g/l zinc, 15-160 g/l nickel, 0.1-5 g/l cobalt and 0.2-10 g/l titanium and 0.1-5 g/l aluminum or 0.1-5 g/l magnesium existing in the form of salts, the pH of which is 1.5-2.5. The obtained plated product exhibits improved excellent corrosion resistance and corrosion peeling resistance. The product can be subjected to heating to 60.degree.-200.degree. C., preferably in hot water, steam, or atomized water mist. This treatment further increases corrosion resistance.

摘要: A light guide guides light emitted by a light source to a portion around an illumination target. The light guide includes a light incident portion that the light emitted by the light source enters; a light emitting portion that is provided around the illumination target and emits the light that has entered; and a light distributing portion that distributes the light that has entered from the light source directly toward the light emitting portion and has at least a curved surface shape. The light incident portion is arranged at a position facing a light emitting surface of the light source and has a width so as to cover at least the light emitting surface of the light source.

摘要: When a simple magnification optical system is used in reproduction of a recording medium in which a large number of minute modified regions are three-dimensionally formed inside solid matter, contrast is insufficient and interlayer crosstalk is increased, and therefore, it is impossible to take a sufficient S/N ratio. Provided is a recording medium in which at least one layer is configured by a set of two adjacent sub-layers, and dots on a sub-layer correspond to a recording data ‘1’ and dots on the other sub-layer correspond to ‘0’. These data are played back.

摘要: A method for performing recording on a multilayered optical disk which has three or more recordable or rewritable information recording layers with a first recording layer and a second recording layer located nearer to a light incident surface than the first recording layer, and which respectively has a first test area configured by a plurality of segments in the first recording layer and in the second recording layer, wherein a predetermined radial distance L is defined beforehand. When an arbitrary segment in the second test area is test-recorded, a segment in the first test area, the radial distance of which from the recorded test area in the second test area is within the range of the predetermined radial distance L, is set as a segment in which test recording is not performed.

摘要: To reduce a bad influence on a tracking control signal and a data signal by reflected light from an adjacent layer on a multi-layer disc as stray light, the following device is made in the invention. Reflected light from the multi-layer optical disc including stray light from another layer is once converged by a reflected light condenser lens and is reflected on a reflector. A grating which prevents zero-order light from being generated by setting groove depth to λ/4 and which is set to pitch to prevent positive and negative first- or higher-order diffracted lights from returning to the reflected light condenser lens is arranged between the lens and the reflector including an optical axis with the grating apart from the reflector. Hereby, as reflected light from another layer is cut off though reflected light from a corresponding layer is transmitted to a detector, a detected control signal and a detected data signal are not influenced by reflected light from another layer.
