Abstract: The present disclosure provides electrolyte solutions for electrodeposition of zinc-manganese alloys, methods of forming electrolyte solutions, methods of electrodepositing zinc-manganese alloys, and multilayered zinc-manganese alloys. An electrolyte solution for electroplating can include a metal salt, boric acid, an alkali metal chloride, polyethylene glycol, and a hydroxy benzaldehyde. An electrolyte solution can be formed by dissolving a metal salt, boric acid, an alkali metal chloride, polyethylene glycol, and a hydroxy benzaldehyde in water or an aqueous solution. Electrodepositing zinc-manganese alloys on a substrate can include introducing a cathode and an anode into an electrolyte solution comprising a metal salt, boric acid, an alkali metal chloride, polyethylene glycol, and a hydroxy benzaldehyde. Electrodepositing can further include passing a current between the cathode and the anode through the electrolyte solution to deposit zinc and manganese onto the cathode.

Abstract: Provided is a fastening band including a steel plate (111) plated with a plating layer (110) as a base material. The plating layer (110) has a self-repairing function of forming a protective film (112) on a plating peeling part with a component dissolved from the plating layer. The steel plate plated with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy is used as the base material. The plating layer contains 4.0 mass % to 14.0 mass % of aluminum, 1.0 mass % to 10.0 mass % of magnesium, and the balance of zinc. The plating layer contains aluminum and magnesium in a total content of 15 mass % or less and zinc in a content of 85 mass % or more.

A surface-treated copper foil having a surface-treated surface, the surface-treated copper foil satisfying one or more of the following conditions (1) to (3): by an XPS measurement at a depth after sputtering from the surface-treated surface for 0.5 min at a rate of 1.1 nm/min (SiO2 conversion), (1) the N concentration is from 1.5 to 7.5 atomic %; (2) the C concentration is from 12 to 30 atomic %; and (3) the Si concentration is 3.1 atomic % or more and the O concentration is from 40 to 48 atomic %.

Abstract: A method for producing a hot-pressed member includes heating a coated steel sheet, which includes, on a surface thereof, a Zn—Ni alloy coating layer containing 10% by mass or more and less than 13% by mass of Ni at a coating weight of over 50 g/m2 per side of the steel sheet, in a temperature region of an Ac3 transformation point to 1200° C. at an average heating rate of 12° C./second or more, and then hot-pressing the steel sheet.
