    摘要: In an optical concentrator a plurality of ports are provided for inputting and outputting first and second optical signals having different wavelength regions. An optical coupler is connected to each of the plurality of ports without being through remaining ones of the plurality of ports. The optical coupler transmits the second optical signal input from one of the plurality of ports to at least one of the remaining ports. A transmitter is provided to connect the plurality of ports in a loop form. The first optical signal input from each port is transmitted from the transmitter. Demultiplexers are arranged at each port for demultiplexing the first and second optical signals input from each port so as to guide the first optical signal to the transmitter and the second optical signal to the optical coupler.

    摘要: A semiconductor switching element is connected to the first winding of a transformer. A smoothing capacitor is connected to the second winding of the transformer through a rectifier diode. The charging voltage Va of this smoothing capacitor serves as the applied voltage of a discharge lamp. When the discharge lamp is lighting, the second winding serves as a power source for supplying power to the discharge lamp. A capacitor is connected to the third winding of the transformer through a rectifier diode. The charging voltage of this capacitor serves as the applied voltage of a discharge tube. When the discharge tube discharges, a high-voltage starting pulse is provided to the secondary winding of a high-voltage coil, thereby rendering the discharge lamp ready for lighting. Therefore, when the discharge lamp is starting, the third winding serves as a power source for supplying starting power to the discharge lamp.

    摘要: When a communication network system is constructed using an optical fiber as a transmission path, a node which transmits a signal may receive its own transmission signal upon reflection of an optical signal on the transmission path. When access control to a network is performed by a CSMA/CD method, the reflection signal may be erroneously detected as a signal sent from another node, and a collision which has not actually occurred may be detected. In order to avoid this, a reflection signal component of the transmission signal must be removed from a reception signal. For this purpose, a time-inverted signal of the transmission signal, and the reception signal are modulated, and the modulated signals are then input to a convolver, thereby obtaining a convolution integral value between the two signals. Since the transmission signal component included in the reception signal can be detected from the obtained value, the detected transmission signal component is removed from the reception signal component, and a signal transmitted from another node can be extracted. In this manner, erroneous detection of a collision upon reflection of a signal transmitted from its own node can be prevented.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an optical fiber communication system for an optical network in which a plurality-of types of communication terminal equipments are connected to one another via optical fibers, the optical fiber communication system, being consisting of the steps: conducting wavelength multiplexing using at least three wavelengths, allotting a first optical wavelength to a packet switched communication of a distribution control system, allotting a second optical wavelength to a line switched communication of a time division multiplexing system, allotting the residual optical wavelength to a line switched communication by an optical, wavelength allotment system, and conducting a control of the line switched communication of the time division multiplexing system using the second optical wavelength and the line switched communication by the optical wavelength allotment using the residual optical wavelength, this control being conducted by using the packet switched communication using the first optical wavelength. The present invention further discloses an optical network having an optical network control unit to which the optical fiber communication system is applied, an optical network having no optical network control unit, a terminal equipment forming the optical network, and an optical network control unit.
