摘要: A printing apparatus which uses a printing medium, which can retain a large amount of coloring material near its surface and can cause ink solvent to permeate rapidly, and can perform printing in a printing mode that is suitable for the above-mentioned printing medium, is provided. Furthermore, a user friendly printing apparatus is realized. More specifically, the printing mode for the above-mentioned printing medium is a mode that uses less ink ejection per one pixel. Even in this case, high speed printing based on printing of sufficient density and high ink absorption become possible. Furthermore, even in the case printing is made on ordinary paper, a lesser ink ejection amount in the same printing mode is performed, but since this printing mode uses processing liquid that makes the ink insoluble, in a similar way, printing of sufficient density and high speed printing becomes possible.

摘要: A synchronization equipment performs correlation processing between a first known pattern included in a received signal and a second known pattern, and detects reception timing of the received signal. A correlation value computing portion computes a correlation value between the first known pattern and the second known pattern at every reception time. A reception timing detection portion compares the computed related value with a predetermined threshold value, determines the reception time when the correlation value becomes larger than the threshold value to be the reception timing of a received signal, and, after this determination, suspends the comparison between the correlation value and the threshold value, and holds the reception time determined to be the reception timing.

摘要: A recording medium includes a porous ink-receiving layer whose main components are an alumina hydrate having a boehmite structure, and a binder. The ink-receiving layer contains voids which communicate with the surface of the ink-receiving layer through pores having radii smaller than the radii of the voids. An image forming method forms an image by providing the recording medium with ink droplets.

摘要: A gradient magnetic field generation apparatus for generating a gradient magnetic field in a space in which an inspection object is placed includes at least one gradient magnetic field coil and a retaining member of the coil which undergoes deformation vibration by an electromagnetic force generated when a current is caused to flow through the coil. This apparatus generates noise and vibration whenever a pulse current is applied to the coil, because an electromagnetic force develops in the coil due to the pulse current and the coil as well as the retaining member of the coil undergo deformation and vibration. Therefore, a force which inhibits this deformation and vibration is applied to the retaining member so as to prevent deformation and vibration of the coil and the retaining member and to keep their shapes constant. In a preferred embodiment, a piezoelectric device is fixed to the retaining member without damping, and the force for inhibiting deformation and vibration of the retaining member is applied by controlling a voltage applied to the piezoelectric device.

摘要: Conflicting requests for cursor control of displaying are resolved by priority. The cursors can reflect attributes of their control or those of their control units, with visual attributes being color, shape or the like. Priority may be established between each cursor and a range of areas acceptable for cursor movement subdivided from the screen, or according to a priority of allowable functions, or according to a priority of conflicting operating times, or a combination of the same. Simultaneous control of a plurality of cursors can be permitted when there is no conflict.
