摘要: A document scanner comprises a first image sensor unit (30) and a second image sensor unit (32) and a scanning mechanism (70, 72, 76, 80) for causing relative movement between a document and the units so that the units scan the document in a scanning direction. The first unit (30) is situated ahead of the second unit (32) in the scanning direction and partially overlaps the second unit. Each sensor unit has a respective linear array (44) of electromagnetic radiation detectors and one or more light guides (48, 49) for directing light from a respective one of two imaging lines (63) on to the detectors, wherein, in use, the imaging lines scan the document to capture data representative of two respective sets of scan line portions for combination to obtain a succession of scan lines for the document, the one or more light guides of the first unit (30) are angled rearwardly with respect to the scanning direction, whilst the one or more light guides of the second unit (32) are angled forwardly with respect to the scanning direction, so as to reduce the distance with respect to the scanning direction, between the imaging lines (63).

摘要: A method of enabling soft handoff between base stations using different signaling frame formats allows soft handoff from an origination base station supporting a lower Protocol Data Unit revision format to an alternative base station supporting a higher Protocol Data Unit revision format, as well as soft handoff between an origination base station supporting a higher Protocol Data Unit revision format to an alternative base station supporting a lower Protocol Data Unit revision format. The base station using the higher Protocol Data Unit revision format downgrades to the lower Protocol Data Unit revision format for the duration of soft handoff. As all base stations use the same Protocol Data Unit revision format during soft handoff, the signals from all of the receive paths can be combined by a mobile station.

摘要: Systems and methods for communicating in a wireless communication system are described. One implementation is provided for controlling aspects of a wireless communication system network via a traffic detection function at the user equipment. The method includes obtaining, at an electronic device, an application configuration, the application configuration including an application identifier identifying an application of a plurality of applications and a network communication characteristic corresponding to each of the plurality of applications. The method further includes detecting, at the electronic device, the application identifier in a packet of network traffic. The method also includes transmitting, from the electronic device, the packet of network traffic based on the network communication characteristic corresponding to the detected application identifier. By providing an application identifier, fine grained (e.g., application specific) network controls may be implemented such as quality of service, charging/accounting, idle handoff, and traffic redirection/load balancing.

摘要: A method for updating prices for phrases may begin by receiving, at a computing device, a real-time data feed comprising a plurality of messages. The method may continue by detecting, by the computing device, a topic associated with a message in the plurality of messages using natural language processing. The topic may indicate the subject of the message. The method may continue by calculating, by the computing device, a score for the topic using temporal data associated with the message. The score may indicate the popularity of the topic. The method may continue by extracting, by the computing device, a keyword phrase from the topic. The method may conclude by determining, by the computing device, a price associated with the keyword phrase using the score.

摘要: A late call forwarding method in the IMS centralized service. During a call setting up, an ICCF receives a call request from the CSCF serving the called user, called session A, and the ICCF acquires a called user's roaming number and initiates a call to the called user. After receiving the call request, the VMSC serving the called user triggers the late call forwarding service according its determination. A CAMEL service is triggered when the VMSC initiates a call to the forwarding target. The VMSC exchanges messages with the ICCF and informs the ICCE about session associated information and the forwarding reason. When the ICCF determines that the forwarding is needed, it sends a response to the session A does not send the response message, after a telecom application server (TAS) receives the indication, the TAS initiates a regular forwarding service.
