    摘要: A molded suture retainer is provided for retaining and storing long suture lengths. Both absorbable and nonabsorbable sutures fabricated from natural or synthetic materials can be advantageously retained and stored therein. The retainer is characterized by a wide spiraling oval passageway with minimal convolutions covered by a cover sheet. The length of the passageway is preferably proportional to 1/3 to 1/2 the overall length of the suture to be retained therein. In accordance with the method of the invention, sutures are doubled or tripled over and inserted into the retainer under vacuum. Sutures packaged in accordance with the invention exhibit fewer kinks and bends than prior packaged sutures.

    摘要: A dynamic wheel bearing test system employs a motor and fly wheel interconnected through a drive shaft and clutch or speed control with a wheel portion mounted upon a fixed axle with test bearings interposed therebetween. The drive shaft is received by and rotates within a load reaction block to which are connected hydraulic actuators operating in three orthogonal planes to impart loads to the bearings. A first set of actuators provides radial loads to the bearings, a second provides side loading of the bearings, while a third set of actuators simulates a drag upon the aircraft employing the wheel and bearings under test.

The groove sidewalls and base have a surface finish in the range of about 32 to 125, which provides sufficient smoothness to retain the O-ring in the required non-planar shape.The valve seat groove (50) can be produced according to the disclosed method, which is preferably implemented in a numerically controlled four-axis horizontal milling tool system. The valve seat part (100) is mounted in a fixture (102) on a rotary table (104) such that the part axis (56) is aligned with the longitudinal axis (Z) of the tool (106). Once the initial penetration position and depth of the tool (106) is established on the eccentric surface (52a) of the part (100), the only required machine movements are table rotation (104) and tool vertical axis movement (Y).

    摘要: This invention provides novel aqueous fluid compositions which comprise a synergistic mixture of two classes of water dispersible or soluble polymers, i.e. (1) synthetic polymeric viscosifier and (2) polycationic organic polymer. These compositions are uniquely adapted for use in enhanced oil recovery. Addition of the polycationic organic polymer reduces the solution viscosity, increases the injectivity of the aqueous solution into low permeability formations. This reaction also reduces the shear degradation of the polymers during pumping, injection through the perforations, and during the period of relatively rapid fluid movement as the solution moves through an earthen or subterranean formation in the important zone within about a ten foot radius around the well bore. Once in an earthen formation, the polycationic organic polymer is rapidly adsorbed from the solution resulting in an increase in solution viscosity and improving the mobility ratio and also resulting in enhanced and/or increased oil recovery.

The PDK wirelessly communicates with a receiver/decoder circuit (RDC) that can be coupled to a variety of electronic devices. The RDC authenticates the PDK based on received data and stores information to track customers and provide improved service. The RDC can be coupled to or integrated with a variety of electronic devices. The operation of the electronic device is determined based on an identification code of the detected PDK and an identification code of the RDC. The electronic device, the PDK or both can be configured with a personalized user interface and execute specific functions based on stored state information associated with the PDK and RDC identification codes.

An EUV inspection system can include a light source directed to an inspected surface, a detector for detecting light deflected from the inspected surface, and an optic configuration for directing the light from the inspected surface to the detector. In particular, the detector can include a plurality of sensor modules. Additionally, the optic configuration can include a plurality of mirrors that provide magnification of at least 100× within an optical path less than 5 meters long. In one embodiment, the optical path is approximately 2-3 meters long.

    摘要: A module for high speed image processing includes an image sensor for generating a plurality of analog outputs representing an image and a plurality of HDDs for concurrently processing the plurality of analog outputs. Each HDD is an integrated circuit configured to process in parallel a predetermined set of the analog outputs. Each channel of the HDD can include an AFE for conditioning a signal representing one sensor analog output, an ADC for converting a conditioned signal into a digital signal, and a data formatting block for calibrations and formatting the digital signal for transport to an off-chip device. The HDDs and drive electronics are combined with the image sensor into one package to optimize signal integrity and high dynamic range, and to achieve high data rates through use of synchronized HDD channels. Combining multiple modules results in a highly scalable imaging subsystem optimized for inspection and metrology applications.
