Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a network node includes transmitting, to a group of user equipment (UEs), radio resource control (RRC) signaling to configure a function for enabling and disabling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for a set of N instances of a multicast transport block (TB). The method also includes transmitting, to the group of UEs, the set of N instances of the multicast TB. The method further includes transmitting, to the group of UEs, a downlink control information (DCI) message on a group-common physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a group-common radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) configured for the group of UEs. The method also includes receiving, from one or more UEs of the group of UEs, a HARQ feedback message associated with one or more instances of the set of N instances after transmitting all N instances.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a serving cell, an event-based measurement report configuration that indicates a measurement threshold and a beam quantity threshold that is two or more. The UE may determine that a first set of measurements of a first plurality of reference signals satisfy the measurement threshold. Each of the first plurality of reference signals may be associated with a corresponding one of a first plurality of beams. Accordingly, the UE may transmit, to the serving cell, a report based at least in part on the first set of measurements when the first plurality of beams includes a quantity of beams that satisfies the beam quantity threshold. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. During an operation for discovering reconfigurable surfaces, a sensing signal may be transmitted. Based on the sensing signal being transmitted, another signal may be detected at the device that transmitted the sensing signal, another device, or both. The device that detects the signal may combine the detected signal with a modulation sequence that is associated with a reconfigurable surface, where the reconfigurable surface may be assigned a set of unique modulation sequences and configured to apply a modulation sequence to received signals. Based on combining the detected signal with the modulation sequence, the device may determine whether the reconfigurable surface is present within a geographic region.
