Abstract: According to embodiments herein, a UE can be configured with a spatial relationship for an Uplink Position Reference Signal (UL-PRS) to transmit via the SL interface. This information can include various options related to a transparent mode in which an anchor UE connected with the UE via the SL interface generally acts like a base station. In an advanced mode, any of a variety of aspects of the SL interface used in communication between the UE and anchor UE may be used as a reference for UL-PRS.

Abstract: One or more anchor nodes, which may be sidelink devices, may transmit positioning reference signals (PRSs) to a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE). The UE may select one or more PRSs to process based on respective priorities of the PRSs. At least one anchor node may transmit a priority indication including the respective priorities, or the one or more anchor nodes may transmit the PRSs according to a scrambling sequence or pattern to implicitly indicate the respective priorities. The UE may decode one or more PRSs based on the respective priorities.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for determining a joint priority of sidelink and access link (Uu) positioning reference signal (PRS) transmissions in a wireless communication system. A joint priority of a PRS transmission may refer to a priority of the PRS transmission over the entire set of PRS transmissions including sidelink PRS transmissions and Uu PRS transmissions transmitted to a target UE in a sidelink positioning session. In aspects, a joint priority of a sidelink PRS transmission from an anchor UE may be determined with respect to not only other sidelink transmissions, but also with respect to other Uu PRS transmissions from other anchor base stations. Similarly, a joint priority of a Uu PRS transmission from an anchor base station may be determined with respect to not only other Uu transmissions, but also with respect to other sidelink PRS transmissions from other anchor UEs.

Abstract: A method of measurement gap (MG) configuration of a first user equipment (UE) for sidelink positioning reference signal (SL-PRS) measurements comprises determining, at a network node, information regarding a first positioning reference signal (PRS) measurement to be made by the first UE. The first PRS measurement may comprise an SL-PRS measurement. The method also comprises determining, at the network node, information regarding a second PRS measurement. The method also comprises determining an MG configuration, where the MG configuration schedules at least one MG for at least one period of time during which during which the first UE is to make the first PRS measurement, and the MG configuration is based at least in part on the information regarding the first PRS measurement and the information regarding the second PRS measurement. The method also comprises sending the MG configuration to the first UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to beam management procedures in wireless communications systems. Some implementations of the present disclosure more specifically provide techniques for reporting measurements for proposed beams (such as beams predicted to be the best beams for communications to and from a UE and a network entity) and other beams detected by the UE. The techniques may be used, for example, to identify mismatches between a proposed set of beams and actual best beams for communications to and from a UE and a network entity and allow for the retraining of machine learning models used to identify the proposed set of beams for communications to and from a UE and a network entity.
