Abstract: A patient interface system for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface configured to sealingly engage the patient's face. A mechanism may be provided to ensure that an effective seal is maintained between the patient interface and the patient's face by preventing, reducing, minimizing or limiting effects of disruptive forces, such as tube drag, on the patient interface.

Abstract: A patient interface system for delivery of a supply of air at positive pressure to the entrance of a patient's airways for treatment of sleep disordered breathing includes an air delivery tube connected to a flexible portion of a plenum; a vent structure having sufficient rigidity to support its own weight under gravity and/or not to block or fold under tube movement or tube drag; and a patient interface structure. The patient interface structure includes a seal forming structure arranged on a top portion of the plenum; and a seal positioning and stabilizing structure connected to a flexible portion of the plenum. The seal-forming structure is substantially decoupled from a tube drag force.

Abstract: Aspects of the present technology comprise a positioning and stabilising structure to hold a seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on a head of a patient. The seal-forming structure may be constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a therapeutic pressure of at least 4 cmH2O with respect to ambient air pressure throughout the patient's respiratory cycle in use. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise at least one gas delivery tube to deliver the flow of air to the entrance of a patient's airways via the seal-forming structure. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise an adjustment mechanism for adjustment of a length of the at least one gas delivery tube to enable the positioning and stabilising structure to fit different size heads.

Abstract: A patient interface assembly is configured to deliver pressurized respiratory gas to a patient's airways. The patient interface assembly includes a cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's face, a plenum base supporting the cushion, and a positioning and stabilizing structure configured to support the cushion and the plenum base on the patient's face. The positioning and stabilizing structure includes a stiffened portion. The patient interface assembly further includes a removable sleeve. The stiffened portion of the positioning and stabilizing structure is inserted into the removable sleeve. The removable sleeve is configured to be secured to the stiffened portion of the positioning and stabilizing structure by inserting a projection into a side cutout, and the stiffened portion of the positioning and stabilizing structure is prevented from sliding out of the removable sleeve when the projection is received within the side cutout.

Abstract: A cushion assembly for a patient interface including an elastomeric seal-forming structure that is shaped to be bisected by a sagittal plane having a line that is tangent to the elastomeric seal-forming structure at a superior tangent point and at an inferior tangent point. A saddle-shaped superior region of the elastomeric seal-forming structure straddles the sagittal plane and includes the superior tangent point. The elastomeric seal-forming structure transitions in a cylinder-shaped superior region from the saddle-shaped region to a dome-shaped superior region offset from the sagittal plane. In addition, an elastomeric wall thickness of the elastomeric seal-forming structure is greater in the cylinder-shaped superior region than in the saddle-shaped superior region and the dome-shaped superior region.
