摘要: A processor is disclosed including several features allowing the processor to simultaneously execute instructions of multiple conditional execution instruction groups. Each conditional execution instruction group includes a conditional execution instruction and a code block specified by the conditional execution instruction. In one embodiment, the processor includes multiple state machines simultaneously assignable to a corresponding number of conditional execution instruction groups. In another embodiment, the processor includes multiple registers for storing marking data pertaining to a number of instructions in each of multiple execution pipeline stages. In another embodiment, the processor includes multiple attribute queues simultaneously assignable to a corresponding number of conditional execution instruction groups. In another embodiment, the processor includes write enable logic and an execution unit. The write enable logic produces write enable signals dependent upon received attributes, and the execution unit saves results of instructions of conditional execution instruction groups dependent upon the write enable signals.

摘要: A method and apparatus for securing networks, focusing on application in Fibre Channel networks. A combination of unique security techniques are combined to provide overall network security. Responsibility for security in the network is assigned to one or more designated entities. The designated entities deploy management information throughout the network to enhance security by modifying the capabilities and operational permissions of the devices participating in the network. For example, through network control: logical management access or physical I/O access may be limited on a per device or per I/O basis; and all devices and ports in the network operate only with other approved devices and ports. These designated entities can better manage network security by exploiting a unique link authentication system as well as a unique push-model secure distributed time service. The link authentication involves a multi-phase nonce exchange exploiting various derivations of the nonce and other information such as hashes and encryptions. The push-model secure time distribution departs from the traditional Fibre Channel pull mode time distribution and provides for secure and reliable distributed time so that various security attacks may be defeated.

摘要: A shut off valve (10) is provided for use in an aircraft lavatory system (70) during maintenance sanitizing operations. The shut off valve includes an inlet passage (20) in intermittent fluid communication with an outlet passage (30) and a magnetic flapper body (40) movable between a rest position and a seal position between said inlet passage and said outlet passage. The flapper body is moved by a magnetic actuator (60) whereby upon placing said magnetic actuator within the proximity of the flapper body, the flapper body is moved form the rest position and, with the assistance of fluid flow within the valve, into the seal position, thus preventing fluid communication between the inlet passage and the outlet passage.

摘要: A method of controlling duration of a backwash cycle of a filtration system commences with initiating pumping of a backwash fluid (12) through a filter (6) of the filtration system by way of a backwash pump (17). The flow rate of backwash fluid (12) is maintained to within 20% of a predetermined flow rate. A pressure sensor (23) takes a pressure measurement indicative of a pressure differential between upstream and downstream sides of the filter (6). Changes in the pressure measurement over time are monitored. A backwash duration controller (18) stops the backwash pump (17) when a rate of change of the pressure measurement reaches a predetermined minimum value.

摘要: Disclosed is a composition of matter of the formula (X1)a—(F1)d—(X2)b—(F2)e—(X3)c  (I) and multimers thereof, in which F1 and F2 are half-life extending moieties, and d and e are each independently 0 or 1, provided that at least one of d and e is 1; X1, X2, and X3 are each independently -(L)f-P-(L)g-, and f and g are each independently 0 or 1; P is a toxin peptide of no more than about 80 amino acid residues in length, comprising at least two intrapeptide disulfide bonds; L is an optional linker; and a, b, and c are each independently 0 or 1, provided that at least one of a, b and c is 1. Linkage to the half-life extending moiety or moieties increases the in vivo half-life of the toxin peptide, which otherwise would be quickly degraded. A pharmaceutical composition comprises the composition and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed are a DNA encoding the inventive composition of matter, an expression vector comprising the DNA, and a host cell comprising the expression vector. Methods of treating an autoimmune disorder, such as, but not limited to, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, contact-mediated dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, asthma, allergy, restinosis, systemic sclerosis, fibrosis, scleroderma, glomerulonephritis, Sjogren syndrome, inflammatory bone resorption, transplant rejection, graft-versus-host disease, and lupus and of preventing or mitigating a relapse of a symptom of multiple sclerosis are also disclosed.
