Abstract: Provided are a discovery method and apparatus. A communication method for a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB); receiving a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; checking whether the contents of the first message match the UE; and sending, when the contents of the first message match the UE, a second message associated with the first message to the second UE via the second resource region. A user equipment (UE) may include: a communication unit configured to receive first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB), and receive a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; and a control unit configured to check whether the contents of the first message match the UE.

The method includes, when the UE is registered on both 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access and non-3GPP access, transmitting, to an access and mobility management function (AMF), a deregistration request message to deregister the non-3GPP access over the 3GPP access, and receiving, from the AMF, a deregistration accept message corresponding to the deregistration request message over the 3GPP access.

Abstract: Provided is a communication method performed by a user equipment (UE) to receive a paging message, the communication method including registering to a stand-alone non-public network (SNPN), transmitting, to a session management function (SMF) of the SNPN or an access and mobility management function (AMF) of the SNPN, a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request message for requesting subscription to a notification service for receiving a paging message of a public land mobile network (PLMN), registering to the PLMN through the SNPN and a non-3GPP inter-working function (N3IWF) of the PLMN, in a case where a paging event occurs when the UE is in an idle state in the PLMN, receiving the paging message from the AMF of the SNPN having received a notification message based on the notification service, and performing a service request procedure based on the paging message.

A method for operating relay UE in a mobile communication system includes transmitting, to a network node connected to the relay UE, a remote UE report message including remote UE information about a remote UE accessing a network via the relay UE, wherein the remote UE information includes IP address information allocated to the remote UE; starting a timer upon transmitting the remote UE report message to the network node; receiving, from the network node, a response message in reply to the remote UE report message; and stopping the timer upon receipt of the response message from the network node. the IP address information includes an IP address and port information of the remote UE in case that IPv4 is used as an address type.
