摘要: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method in a roaming environment supporting a network slice is provided. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a terminal, a first packet data unit (PDU) session request message including slice assistance information indicating the properties of a service the terminal intends to use; transmitting, to a network function (NF) repository function, a first discovery request message including a home public land mobile network (PLMN) ID of the terminal and the slice assistance information; and receiving, from the NF repository function, a first discovery response message including a session management network function (SM NF) address of the home PLMN. The SM NF is selected on the basis of the slice assistance information.

摘要: Provided are a method and apparatus for supporting migration of mobile edge computing in a wireless communication system. A method, performed by a Session Management Function (SMF), of controlling a path between an Application function (AF) and a user equipment in a wireless communication system includes: receiving, from the AF, an AF request message including information indicating whether User Plane Function (UPF) modification is allowed; determining whether a modification of a UPF in the path between the AF and the user equipment is required; transmitting a notification including information associated with the modification of a UPF to the AF, based on a result of the determining whether the modification of the UPF is required; determining whether to wait for reception of a response message from the AF for a certain period of time, based on the information indicating whether UPF modification is allowed; and controlling a modification of the path between the AF and the user equipment, the path including the UPF, based on a result of the determining whether to wait.

摘要: An apparatus and method are provided for steering a PDU session associated with traffic routed to a selected UPF. The method includes receiving, from an AF entity, a first message including information for selecting a UPF entity for traffic routing of a terminal and information on a spatial condition associated with a location of the terminal; transmitting, to an SMF entity, a second message to receive information associated with the location of the terminal indicating that the terminal entered or left a specific area, the specific area being determined by the PCF entity based on the spatial condition; receiving, from the SMF entity, a third message including the information associated with the location of the terminal; and transmitting, to the SMF entity, a fourth message based on the information associated with the location of the terminal included in the third message, the fourth message including the information for selecting the UPF entity for traffic routing of the terminal.

The method includes receiving a create session request message from a Serving Gateway (S-GW) in response to a Packet Data Network (PDN) connectivity request message transmitted by a terminal, transmitting, to a storage entity, a request message for subscriber information including identification information of the terminal, receiving, from the storage entity, subscription data of the terminal corresponding to the identification information of the terminal, selecting at least one network slice based on the subscription data of the terminal and slice information supportable by the control entity, and transmitting a create session response message including information of the selected at least one network slice, wherein the subscription data of the terminal includes information about a subscribed network slice of the terminal and information regarding whether the subscribed network slice of the terminal is supported in an Evolved Packet Core (EPC).
