    摘要: A cooling water passage structure of internal combustion engines is provided which can contribute to a scale-down of the external form of the engine and also can prevent deformation of the cylinder bores. The cooling water passage structure comprises a water jacket for the flow of cooling water provided on the peripheries of a plurality of cylinder bores; and a lateral suction passage 9a, 9b integrally formed with a side wall of a cylinder block 2 having bolt holes formed for fastening a cylinder head 3. The lateral suction passage runs through by the cylinder bores at a height in the vicinity of the water jacket bottom and is arranged on the outside of, and perpendicular to the bolt holes. On the rear surface of the cylinder head 3 is mounted a water passage block 15 and on the front end part of the cylinder block 2 is provided a water pump housing 10.

    摘要: The invention relates to a liquid crystal display used as a display unit of an electronic apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same and provides a liquid crystal display which can achieve high display quality and a method of manufacturing the same. A liquid crystal including a polymeric component and having a specific resistance of 1×1013 Ω·cm or more at room temperature (25° C.) is dispensed onto a TFT substrate. After combining the TFT substrate with an opposite substrate in vacuum, the atmospheric pressure is restored to fill a gap between the TFT substrate and the opposite substrate with the liquid crystal, thereby forming a liquid crystal layer. The polymeric component is polymerized while applying a predetermined voltage to the liquid crystal layer to form polymer layers.

The method comprises forming pillar spacers for maintaining a cell thickness on a CF substrate, measuring the height of the pillar spacers, determining the dropping amount of the liquid crystals based on the number of times of executing a step of forming an alignment film again effected for the CF substrate after measuring the height of the pillar spacers, dropping the liquid crystals in the determined dropping amount onto the CF substrate or onto a TFT substrate, sticking the CF substrate and the TFT substrates together in vacuum, and returning the pressure back to the atmospheric pressure to inject the liquid crystals into between the two substrates.
