Abstract:
A method of producing soft fine metal spheres for semiconductor packaging from a material selected from soft metals and soft alloys. A plurality of fine wires made of the material are arranged in parallel on a flat base plate. Each of the wires has a diameter of not more than 100 .mu.m. The fine wires are cut into wire chips having an equal mass relative to each other and a chip length/chip diameter ratio between 5 and 100 by utilizing a cutting jig having cutting edges which are arranged at a constant pitch. The resulting wire chips are arranged so that the chips are spaced apart a minimum distance sufficient to prevent the chips from merging when melted. The resulting spaced-apart wire chips are heated to a temperature up to but not exceeding 100.degree. C. above the melting point thereof, thereby forming the chips into molten spheres. The resulting molten spheres are cooled, thereby forming solid spheres having a diameter within about 5% of a desired diameter.

Each pair of one of the optical modulators and one of the optical detectors are coupled with a respective optical network unit through an optical fiber cable (5-1, 5-2). Each of the optical network units (20-1 through 20-n) has a device for receiving the optical signal from the ONU, to convert the receive optical beam into the electrical signal and for transmitting the optical signal modulated with the transmission signal to the ONU.
Abstract:
A vibration isolating apparatus which damps and absorbs vibrations from a vibration generating portion. A first restricting passage, a second restricting passage and a third restricting passage are formed in a block member. Respective transit resistances of these restricting passages are different. One end portion of the first restricting passage is provided so as to be able to communicate with a main liquid chamber, and another end portion communicates with a sub-liquid chamber. One end portion of the second restricting passage is provided so as to be able to communicate with the main liquid chamber, and another end portion has an open portion. One end portion of the third restricting passage communicates with the sub-liquid chamber, and another end portion communicates with the second restricting passage. A rotor is rotated to a first position at which the main liquid chamber and the sub-liquid chamber communicate via the first restricting passage and to a second position at which the second restricting passage communicates with the main liquid chamber. In accordance with the invention, liquid passes through the first, second and third restricting passages, and moves reciprocally between the main liquid chamber and one of the sub-liquid chamber and the second restricting passage in accordance with frequency of vibration. Accordingly, vibrations of a wide range of frequencies can be absorbed.

A burnishing drill includes a cylindrical drill body connected at its forward end integrally with a shank. The forward end of the drill body includes a first pair of cutting edges inclined radially and rearwardly from the forwardmost central end of the drill body toward the shank at a first cutting angle. A second pair of cutting edges formed of diamond chips are disposed in a plane intersecting the plane in which the first pair of cutting edges are located. The second pair of cutting edges are inclined radially and rearwardly from a position inside a circle including the maximum external margins of the first pair of cutting edges toward the shank at a second cutting angle.
Abstract:
An external magnetic field generating device includes a pole piece mounted on a face of a magnetic plate, and a coil which is in contact with the face of the magnetic plate, the coil being wound flatly around the pole piece so that it spreads out radially. The coil generates a magnetic field through the pole piece when an electric current passes through the coil, the pole piece is projectable beyond the face of the coil opposite the magnetic plate.

[Problems] The objective of present invention is to provide the mold, injection molding system and method capable of limiting the outflow of pressurized fluid injected into a mold cavity. [Solution] A mold device and a molding device comprising: a shaft body 27 provided at least on one mold among a first mold 205 and a second mold 206 that form a molding space 200, the shaft body being used for pushing out a molded article formed from a resin injected into the molding space 200; a ring-shaped elastic member for supporting the shaft body 27 in which an opening formed along the circumferential direction is oriented toward the said molding space; and an injection portion provided on at least one mold among the first mold 205 and the second mold 206, the injection portion being used for injecting a pressurized fluid into the molding space 200.
Abstract:
[Problem] The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for obtaining a molded article having an expanded layer in the molded article, wherein an expanding agent and device used to manufacture a resin having expansion properties, and a means for increasing expansion ratio are provided.[Solution] In the present invention, an expanding agent placed in a heating cylinder of a molding machine is configured as a liquid, the volume of the expanding agent is controlled, and the expanding agent is injected into a molten resin in the heating cylinder of the molding machine. The volume of the injected expanding agent can thereby be accurately measured each time. When a low-boiling liquid such as water, an alcohol, or an ether is used as the injected expanding agent, all of the liquid is vaporized by the temperature of the heating cylinder of the molding machine, and no residue thereof is therefore left in the molded article. When sodium bicarbonate water is used as the injected expanding agent, solvent water vaporizes and water vapor also becomes expandable gas, which is less expensive than using sodium bicarbonate as the expanding agent for a master batch using the resin that is to be molded.
