摘要: The present invention provides a system for detecting an object. The system includes a processor, a capacitive sensor operatively linked to the processor, an RF reader, and an object with an embedded RFID tag. The sensing electrode of the capacitive sensor is made from a conductive paste. The RF reader is placed below the capacitive sensor and operatively linked to the processor. And the object is placed above the capacitive sensor. The detection ranges of the capacitive sensor and the RF reader overlap in space. And once the object enters the overlapped detection space, the capacitive sensor detects the object through capacitive coupling and the RF reader detects the object through reading the RFID tag. The use of conductive paste as touch electrode in the system not only substantially eliminates the bidirectional interference resulting from both capacitive sensing and RF identification, but also is convenient and sometimes cost effective.

摘要: The present invention provides an object that can be simultaneously detected by a capacitive sensor and an RFID reader, an object detection system and the accompanying method. The object includes a body made partially or entirely with an electrically poorly conductive material, and an RFID tag embedded in the body. The object detection system includes a processor, the object, a capacitive sensor, and an RFID reader. Once the object is placed within the detection range of the capacitive sensor, the capacitive sensor detects the object through capacitive coupling, and transmits the detected information to the processor. And once the object is placed within the detection range of the RFID reader, the RFID reader transmits an RF signal that passes through the electrically poorly conductive material to reach the RFID tag, detects the RFID tag, and transmits the detected information to the processor. The RFID reader detects the object before, during or after the capacitive sensor detects the object. The system can enhance capacitive coupling between the object and the capacitive sensor and reduce shielding of radio frequency identification, and thus improve the detection sensitivity.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and accompanying method determining the spatial relationships of physical objects, including multiple physical objects, a reader antenna and a processor. Each physical object has a first surface, a second surface parallel to the first surface, one or more RFID tags, and one or more relay antennas. A first RFID tag is placed on the interior surface of the first surface, a second RFID tag is placed on the interior surface of the second surface, and a first relay antenna is located between the first surface and the second surface. The processor is configured to direct the reader antenna to detect the RFID tags. Once the first physical object is placed above the reader antenna, with the first surface of the first physical object facing the reader antenna, the reader antenna is configured to detect the first RFID tag of the first physical object. And once the second physical object is placed above the first physical object, with the first surface of the second physical object facing the second surface of the first physical object, the reader antenna is configured to further detect the second RFID tag of the first physical object and the first RFID tag of the second physical object.

摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for eliminating blind spot of a high frequency RF antenna array, allowing an RFID tag to be detected when placed anywhere on top of and within the communication range of the RF antenna array. The RF antenna array includes a first array of RF antenna placed on a first surface and a second RF antenna placed on a second surface. The second RF antenna is located directly below or above the area encompassing borders of multiple antennas in the first array, but is not connected to any electrical path. Through the electromagnetic induction with the EM field generated by the first RF antenna array, a second EM field is formed by the second RF antenna, which enables detection and identification of the RFID tag placed on the blind spot of the first array of RF antenna. The present invention is useful in improving the RF communication range and accuracy of a passive RFID system.

摘要: A stylus for a portable electronic device includes a main body, a nib, and a lens. The main body defines a chamber in an end, the nib and the lens are connected to the other end of the main body. A space if formed between the nib and the lens. An extending direction of the nib intersects with an extending direction of the lens to form an angle, and the angle is in a range from 0°-90°.

摘要: A road traffic control system is applied to an intersection to control traffic and includes a light support, three traffic lights, a speed measuring device, a light controller, and an alarm. The light support is installed at one lane at the intersection; the three traffic lights are installed on the light support to control traffic. The speed measuring device is installed on guardrails on the lane to measure current speed of vehicle. When one of the traffic lights changes its color to indicate stopping, the light controller synchronously controls the speed measuring device to detect the current speed of the vehicle that is passing through the speed measuring device, and compares the measured speed of the vehicle with a preset speed limit. The alarm outputs warning signals when the measured speed is above the preset speed limit.
