    摘要: A method and apparatus for applying a uniform membrane coating to a substrate, such as a honeycomb structure, having a plurality of through-channels, wherein the through-channels have an average diameter of less than or equal to 3 mm. The method includes providing a liquid precursor comprising membrane-forming materials to the substrate and applying a pressure differential across the substrate. The pressure differential causes the liquid precursor to travel uniformly through the through-channels, depositing the membrane-forming materials on the walls of the through-channels and forming the membrane on the walls of the through-channels. The apparatus includes a chamber capable of holding the substrate and of maintaining a pressure differential across the plurality of through-channels.

    摘要: A process of making a reinforced hollow fiber membrane comprises flowing a membrane dope through a casting head while drawing one or more yarns or tows of filaments through the casting head. The filaments are spread apart in the casting head, for example by forcing the yarns or tows around a bend or through a narrow gap in the casting head. The filaments are adapted to bond to the membrane dope or the membrane wall. A reinforced hollow fiber membrane comprises a plurality of filaments individually surrounded by, and bonded to, the membrane wall.

    摘要: Disclosed is a drying device for a hollow fiber membrane, including: a tubular drying member that is formed with an opening portion through which a hollow fiber membrane is input and output at at least one end thereof in a length direction, the hollow fiber membrane passing inside the tubular drying member while forming a gap between the hollow fiber membrane and an inner circumferential surface of the tubular drying member; and a gas supply unit that is formed on a side surface of the tubular drying member and supplies a drying gas into the tubular drying member. Thus, it is possible to dry the hollow fiber membrane in a short time at a low cost without the necessity of large equipment.

    摘要: The invention relates to the preparation of a crosslinked polymeric film bearing ionic groupings.The process consists in extruding a material comprising at least one prepolymer, in polymerizing said material after extrusion, and in subjecting the extruded material to a chemical reaction for grafting ionic groupings. The prepolymer comprises repeating units each comprising at least one aromatic group GA and at least one functional group GF; it bears at least one group GP which is polymerizable thermally at a temperature greater than the extrusion temperature, or photochemically, and also at least one reactive group GR which allows the grafting of ionic groupings.The films are useful as a membrane for fuel cells or electrodialysis, as an electrolyte of a lithium battery, of a supercapacitor or of an electrochromic device, or as an ion exchange membrane.
