摘要: A method of making a lignocellulose incorporating methacrylate functionality from date palm biomass can include extracting sieved date palm biomass at a first predetermined temperature (110° C.) to obtain an extracted date palm biomass; adding an acid to the extracted date palm biomass to obtain a mixture and stirring and refluxing the mixture at a second predetermined temperature (100° C.) to obtain a refluxed cellulose-hemicellulose-lignin residue; dissolving the refluxed cellulose-hemicellulose-lignin residue in a solvent to obtain a solution; adding triethylamine and methacrylic anhydride to the solution to obtain a reaction solution mixture and stirring while heating the reaction solution mixture to react the triethylamine and the methacrylic anhydride with the solution to obtain a reacted solution mixture; pouring the reacted solution mixture into an ice-cold solvent to obtain a solution mixture and separating cellulose-hemicellulose-lignin residue from the solution mixture via centrifuging; dissolving centrifuged cellulose-lignin residue in water to obtain the lignocellulose incorporating methacrylate functionality.

摘要: There are provided a porous composite membrane formed by blending perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) with an organic substance, and a manufacturing method thereof. The porous composite membrane is able to have pores easily formed simply by blending a fluorine-based polymer with an organic substance without additional pore-forming processes such as stretching and heating, and exhibit excellent properties in terms of resistance to high temperatures and strong acids due to the use of the fluorine-based polymer as a base material, so it is available for use in semiconductor wastewater treatment that uses strong acids like HF.

摘要: [Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polyamide hollow fiber membrane having such properties that the transmission of fine particles through the membrane can be prevented effectively, the membrane has an excellent water transmissibility, the entire surface of the membrane has excellent hydrophilicity, and impurities such as metal elements are rarely eluted through the membrane.[Solution] A polyamide hollow fiber membrane produced by a TIPS method under specific production conditions has the following characteristic properties: (1) the contact angle of water on the surface of the membrane is 80° or less; (2) the external pressure water transmissibility of the membrane is 50 L/(m2·atm·h) or more; and (3) the 50 nm-particles blocking ratio of the membrane is 90% or more.

摘要: A method of enhancing hydrophilicity of a hydrophobic polymer material includes pre-treating the hydrophobic polymer material. The pre-treating includes treating the hydrophobic polymer material with a first atmospheric pressure plasma discharge in a first atmosphere including carbon dioxide to obtain a pre-treated polymer material. The method includes treating the pre-treated polymer material with a second atmospheric pressure plasma discharge in a second atmosphere in which an aerosol of an amine is introduced; the amine includes at least one hydrocarbon substituent. A substrate is provided that includes a hydrophobic polymer material having a modified interface. The modified interface includes amine functional groups grafted on the hydrophobic polymer material, the modified interface having a surface energy, which, measured after immersion in water at 20° C. for 3 days, differs from a surface energy of the hydrophobic polymer material by 20 mN/m or less.
