    摘要: A system for sparging aerated water into a column for the froth flotation of minerals, and located in the lower portion of the column, consists of water and air supply headers connected to a supply of pressurized water and air, respectively. The headers comprise a number of water and air passages, each having shut off valves. A multiplicity of sparger tubes is arranged, in one or more horizontal planes, either radially towards the column center or parallel to each other from opposite sides of the column. Each sparger pipe comprises a mixing tee attached to a water passage and an air passage, and a perforated portion provided with a number of small openings. The number of openings in each pipe is determined by the cross-sectional area covered by the sparger pipe. The openings may be arranged upwardly and/or downwardly at an angle in the range of about 5.degree. to 90.degree. from the horizontal. The openings are preferably arranged in a single row and directed vertically downwardly, or in two parallel rows and directed radially downwardly at an angle of 5.degree. to 75.degree. from the horizontal. Each opening is provided with a wear-resistant material, preferably in the form of an insert and preferably made of tungsten carbide, to reduce erosion of the openings. The number of openings is chosen such that the air bubbles exit from the openings and rise in the column substantially evenly distributed over the entire cross section of the column.

    摘要: A static diffuser for use within the water tank of an ozonator system. The diffuser comprises a depending water pipe into which water is fed under pressure by an external pump. The lower end of the pipe flares outward and has an internal fixed cone which combines with the flared end of the pipe to provide an annular laterally directed water discharge. The annular discharge includes angularly directed vanes to enhance the water discharge and assist in forming a high velocity outwardly directed circular sheet of water. The pipe is surrounded, in spaced relation, by a shroud through which the ozone is introduced. The shroud is provided with an annular slot outward of the pipe discharge, the shape of the shroud at the slot forming a modified 360.degree. circular venturi whereby the discharging high velocity sheet of water creates a negative pressure drawing the ozone therewith into the surrounding body of water for a ozonation thereof.

    摘要: A whirlpool bath unit in which aerated water is circulated in a bathtub. The incoming water flows through a restricted orifice in a jet mixer unit to form a narrow jet stream which is directed into a larger final orifice and then into the bathtub. An air passage led into said larger final orifice of the jet mixer unit draws air that is sucked by the jet stream of water. The combination of air and jet stream is directed into the bathtub to form a circulating whirlpool. The bathtub level is maintained at a constant level by a suitably located vertical tube mounted over the bathtub drain, with the jet mixer unit fastened to said vertical tube.

A saddle shaped portion of the sparger unit, surrounding the boss, engages the header through a sealing gasket. The spring system includes one or more stainless steel spring fasteners. Each fastener includes a band with a spring at each end hooked through a hole in the band and hooked to the sparger unit.
