    摘要: A binder composition for making foundry molds, comprising an acid-hardening resin, one or more 5-position-substituted-furfural compounds selected from the group consisting of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and 5-acetoxymethylfurfural, and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of urea and derivatives of urea, wherein the content of the 5-position-substituted-furfural compound(s) by percentage is from 1 to 60% by weight of the binder composition. The content of the compound(s) by percentage selected from the group consisting of urea and derivatives of urea is preferably from 0.3 to 10% by weight of the binder composition.

    摘要: An orally administered adsorbent which has a high ability of adsorbing indoxylsulfuric acid, indoleacetic acid, and indole, a method permitting easy and advantageous production of the same, and a drug using the same. The orally administered adsorbent is obtained from spherical particles of activated carbon by carbonizing and activating spherical particles of a furfuryl alcohol resin obtained by resinifying furfuryl alcohol through a self-condensation reaction and curing the resinified furfuryl alcohol.

    摘要: A flame-retardant resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin; a flame retardant comprising a phosphorus-containing compound (A), a aromatic resin (B), and at least one flame-retardant auxiliary (C) selected from a nitrogen-containing compound and a metal salt of an inorganic acid; and at least one stabilizer auxiliary (D) selected from a compound having a functional group reactive to an active hydrogen atom and a water-repellent compound. The phosphorus-containing compound may be a phosphoric ester. The aromatic resin may be a polyphenylene sulfide-series resin or a polyphenylene oxide-series resin. The nitrogen-containing compound is a salt of an amino group-containing triazine compound with an oxygen acid, a salt of an amino group-containing triazine compound with a hydroxyl group-containing triazine compound, a polyphosphoric acid amide, a cyclic urea compound, or others. The present invention provides a flame-retardant resin composition which has been flame-retarded without using a halogen-containing flame retardant.
