摘要: When a valve body is rotated toward a full-close position in a valve-close mode, a control portion controls an electric motor so that the rotating speed of the valve body is lower than that in a valve-open mode. A rotating speed of the valve body around the shaft in the valve-close mode is lower than that in the valve-open mode. Thus, when the seal ring is brought into contact with the inner wall surface, an impact generated therebetween can be moderated. While the valve body is rotated toward the full-close position, a seal ring is gradually elastically deformed. A sliding friction between the seal ring and the inner wall surface can be reduced.

摘要: A passage intake control device includes a passage member, a valve disposed in the passage member and a shaft passing through a through hole of a valve shaft part of the valve. The valve shaft part includes a fitting hole portion as a part of the through hole. The fitting hole portion is provided by at least a first wall, a second wall, a third wall and a fourth wall. The shaft includes a fitting part having a polygonal shape including at least a first shaft surface a second shaft surface, a third shaft surface and a fourth shaft surface. The fitting part is fitted in the fitting hole portion such that the first to fourth shaft surfaces are opposed to the first to fourth walls of the fitting hole portion, respectively. The first and second walls have protruded ribs. The third and fourth walls include flat portions.

摘要: An object of the invention for a valve device having an inclined valve body is to suppress pressure loss at a valve opened condition to a smaller amount. The valve body is composed of a disc shaped valve member for closing a fluid passage, a first supporting portion provided at an outer periphery of the valve member and connected to a first shaft member, and a second supporting portion provided at another outer periphery of the valve member and connected to a second shaft member. The valve body is formed of a press-molded metal plate and forms a Z-shape when viewed in a direction parallel to a surface of the valve member.

摘要: An exhaust valve assembly includes a flapper valve fixed to a valve shaft where the flapper valve is movable between a closed position, an intermediate position, and an open position. A resilient member biases the flapper valve toward the closed position. An electric actuator actively moves the flapper valve at least from the closed position to the intermediate position. A coupling mechanism couples the valve shaft to an electric actuator shaft and allows the flapper valve to move to the open position in response to exhaust flow sufficient to overcome a biasing force of the resilient member without requiring input from the electric actuator.

摘要: An exhaust component includes at least one muffler that has an inlet and an outlet. One pipe body is connected to each of the inlet and the outlet. The pipe bodies each have first and second ends that define a respective overall pipe length. Each pipe body defines a sole exhaust flow path between their first and second ends. A passive valve assembly is mounted outside of the muffler and within one of the pipe bodies. The passive valve assembly is positioned at a location within a first 25% of the overall pipe length of one of the pipe bodies relative to the inlet or outlet of the muffler.

A passive valve is mounted within the inter-pipe. The second exhaust component defines an internal cavity that is at least partially packed with a high frequency absorption material and cooperates with the passive valve to effectively attenuate low and high frequency noise.

摘要: A passive valve assembly for a vehicle exhaust system includes an exhaust component that defines an exhaust gas flow path and a vane that is positioned within the exhaust gas flow path. The vane is movable between a fully closed position where a maximum portion of the exhaust gas flow path is blocked by the vane and a fully open position where a minimum portion of the exhaust gas flow path is blocked by the vane. The closed position comprises a start position for the passive valve assembly when there is no exhaust gas flow. The vane is obliquely orientated to a plane that is perpendicular to a centerline of the exhaust component when the vane is in the start position.
