    摘要: A casing includes an upper casing and a lower casing jointed in a dividable manner, and a sealing structure that suppresses outward leakage of gas from a joint area between the upper casing and the lower casing. The casing 1 also includes: an upper protruding element that protrudes from an outer circumference of the upper casing; a lower protruding element that protrudes from an outer circumference of the lower casing; and an intermediary member that is arranged on outer circumferences of the upper protruding element and the lower protruding element. The joint area between the upper casing and the lower casing is extended by the upper protruding element and the lower protruding element, and the intermediary member is welded to the upper protruding element and the lower protruding element, at a position offset from the joint area.

    摘要: A casing provided centrally with a sealed structure chamber. Small-sized separate four filter elements are arranged each on opposite sides of the chamber such that inflow air from a suction section into the casing is introduced via the filter elements into the chamber. Each filter element is detachably fitted over a filter-element mount having openings at its outer periphery. Upon filter-element replacement, the filter elements are replaced individually by opening a window. An integral cast casing having compressing sections and compressed air passages integrally fabricated therewith by casting is formed with receptacles for first and second intercoolers and an aftercooler. The intercoolers and aftercooler are received in the receptacles. Outlets of the intercoolers are connected with suction sides of second- and third-stage compressors through second- and third-stage suction pipes, respectively. A blowoff silencer is arranged between the integral cast casing and an oil tank.

    摘要: An air compression and expansion system having a combined motor-generator unit and a single drive shaft coupled to compressors and expanders is disclosed. The system includes a motor-generator unit, a drive shaft connected to the motor-generator unit configured to transmit rotational power to and from the motor-generator unit, a compressor system selectively coupleable to the drive shaft and positioned thereabout, and a turbine system selectively coupleable to the drive shaft and positioned thereabout, the turbine system positioned with the compressor system on a common side of the motor-generator unit. The air compression and expansion system also includes a compressor clutch attached to the compressor system and a turbine clutch attached to the turbine system. The compressor clutch and the turbine clutch are arranged coaxially about the drive shaft and configured to selectively couple and decouple the compressor system and the turbine system, respectively, to the drive shaft.

    摘要: A two-stage compressor for generating necessary pressure differential for air-conditioning applications with air-cooled, water-cooled and evaporative-cooled condensing systems using low-pressure refrigerant, such as R134a, is provided. A rotating assembly is mounted for rotation in a compressor housing and includes a shaft, a thrust bearing disk associated with the shaft to maintain an axial position of the rotating assembly, a motor rotor mounted on the shaft, and first and second impellers mounted for rotation with the shaft. First and second journal bearings are mounted in the compressor housing to support the shaft and maintain radial positioning of the rotating assembly. Volute housings including a spiral-shaped volute are associated with each of the impellers to collect and further discharge gas compressed by the impellers. Diffusers having air-foil shaped vanes are locate in the volute channels adjacent the discharge outlets of the impellers to aide in the discharge of gas from the impellers.

    摘要: A high-pressure ratio turbocharger of this invention has a two-stage compressor section comprising a first-stage compressor impeller rotatably disposed in a first compressor housing, and a second-stage compressor impeller rotatably disposed in a second compressor housing. The first and second stage compressor impellers are attached to a common shaft, and are positioned within respective compressor housing in a direction facing away from one another. A portion of the second compressor housing is formed from a compressor backplate attached to a turbocharger center housing. A scroll seal is disposed between the first and second compressor housings, and is interposed between the impellers to separate outlet air flow between each respective first and second compressor chamber.
