Abstract:
An antenna includes a resistive element formed in a casing, and a feed line formed in the casing and electrically coupled to the resistive element. The positioning of the resistive element and the feeding is such that the feed line is approximately perpendicular to the resistive element. The positioning of the feed line and the resistive element may result in the antenna being sized to allow integration of the antenna into a sensor head.
Abstract:
A control system for an electric machine, the control system including a position sensor and a drive controller. The drive controller generates one or more control signals for use in exciting a winding of the electric machine. Control signals for each electrical half-cycle of one mechanical cycle are generated by the drive controller in response to a single edge of a signal output by the position-sensor.
Abstract:
A resolver includes an excitation coil, an excitation signal output circuit for outputting an excitation signal to the excitation coil, a search coil for receiving a magnetic field generated in the excitation coil, and an output signal processing circuit for processing a detection signal detected by the search coil. The resolver further includes a noise cancel circuit configured to previously detect noise from an output signal of the excitation signal output circuit and to output a cancel signal having an opposite phase to that of the noise to the output signal processing circuit.
Abstract:
An absolute type linear encoder includes: a scale including a plurality of tracks including a high-order and low-order tracks; and a detection head configured to detect a relative position to the scale; and a processing circuit configured to obtain the number of cycles of the low-order track by using a correction value obtained per correction pitch, the width of which is wider than the detection pitch, based on an error between tracks produced by a difference between the position of the high-order track to the detection head and the position of the low-order track thereto, output values of the high-order track and the low-order track, and a cyclic ratio of the low-order track to the high-order track, and obtain the position of the detection head to the scale based on the number of the cycles and the output value of the low-order track.
Abstract:
An electrode holder comprising a deck member with handle supporting a pair of penetrating electrodes to which a hypodermic syringe or needles may be connected and which may act as electrodes in a BIA system and/or in connection with making other electrical measurements.
Abstract:
A probe adaptor assembly includes a probe opening into which a probe can be inserted. The probe is held in place by a compression fitting such that the probe depth, with respect to a longitudinal axis of the assembly, can be adjusted prior to the compression fitting being tightened to secure the probe. A conduit adaptor port is provided. A lubrication fitting provides an opening for a lubricant to be injected into the assembly. The lubrication fitting is coupled to the probe opening so that the lubricant injected into the fitting can exit the probe opening in order to lubricate the system into which the probe is inserted. In one embodiment, the probe adaptor assembly is configured to replace a lubrication fitting for a bearing so that a temperature of the bearing can be monitored while also providing lubrication.
Abstract:
A capacitive sensor device includes first and second sensor capacitors coupled in series, a clock signal generating part, an operational amplifier, a feedback capacitor, a compensating capacitor, and a compensating signal generating part. The clock signal generating part generates a first clock signal and the second clock signal applied to the first and second sensor capacitors, respectively. The compensating signal generating part generates a compensating signal applied to the compensating capacitor. The first clock signal and the second clock signal have the same frequency and the same amplitude and have phases being opposite each other. The compensating signal has a frequency same as the first clock signal and the second clock signal, has a phase same as one of the first clock signal and the second clock signal, and has an amplitude that is adjustable.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a means for monitoring the utility usage in a building with individual units but serviced by a single utility company meter. The individual units receive a pulse flow meter which is hard wired to a central unit and then sent to the internet for reading and then splitting the utility bill into prorated utility bills based on actual usage rather than size of the individual unit as a percentage of the whole unit.
Abstract:
The claimed subject matter provides industrial automation systems and/or methods that can aggregate data. A plurality of sensors can provide redundant detected data. Additionally, a weighting component can respectively weight the detected data based upon a confidence of accurate measurement corresponding to each of the plurality of sensors. Further, a combination component can assemble the redundant detected data based at least in part upon the weights to generate harmonized data.
Abstract:
In a sensor network system, sensor data having a high precision (high resolution) is collected, and yet congestion of a communication network and an apparatus for processing the sensor data is suppressed. A sensor node 1 has a contribution degree calculating means 123 for calculating an influence that the detected sensor information exerts upon the entire precision (resolution). And, a first communicating means 121 transmits sensor information responding to a calculated contribution so that no congestion caused by transmitting a large quantity of data all at once occurs.
