Abstract: A syringe adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end with the first end configured to be secured to a first container, a cannula having a first end and a second end with the second end positioned within the housing, and a collet having a first end and a second end with at least a portion of the collet received within the housing. The collet includes a body defining a passageway, a seal member received by the passageway, and an arcuate, resilient locking member connected to the body of the collet. The collet is movable from a first position where the locking member is open to receive a mating connector to a second position where radially outward movement of the locking member is restricted.

Abstract: A device for transferring a liquid from a first vial to a second vial is disclosed having a dome portion configured to create an air flow when activated by compression and re-expansion, and a support body tightly supporting the dome portion to form a chamber with air therein. The support body includes first and second vial seats, and a transfer conduit. The first and second vial seats are arranged to receive the first and second vials. When the first and second vials are received in the first and second vial seats, the transfer conduit is arranged to establish a fluid connection between the first vial and the second vial. Upon activation of the dome portion, air is delivered into the first vial, thereby creating a pressure rise in the first vial which causes the liquid to transfer from the first vial to the second vial through the transfer conduit.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a reconstitution or medicinal fluid delivery device includes a transfer engine including two fluidly connected spikes, each configured to pierce a container. A check valve may be disposed between the two spikes to allow unidirectional flow from one container to the other. Physical access to a fluid outlet may be obstructed by a housing until the reconstitution or medicinal fluid delivery device is actuated, whereupon physical access to the fluid outlet is permitted. The reconstitution or medicinal fluid delivery device may be placed on a flat surface and actuated with force applied in a single direction toward the flat surface.
