摘要: A starch separation system for an ethanol plant includes a dry fractionization system, a fiber blender, a refiner, a fiber liquefaction tank and a fiber wash system. A starch separation method includes the steps of providing a dry fractionization system receiving corn from the ethanol plant and fractionating the corn into corn oil, corn fiber, corn grits, corn, endosperm flour and germ cake. The corn components are converted to sugar and the sugar is converted to ethanol. A converted fiber stream is input to the fiber wash system for producing fiber wash water for input to the ethanol plant.

摘要: A filter includes a filter assembly deployed within a pressure vessel. The filter includes a series of filter configurations arranged along a central flow path connected to an outlet. Each filter configuration has filter screens overlying at least one filtrate channel which directs filtered fluid to the central flow path, A partition is deployed within the pressure vessel so as to subdivide the pressure vessel into a first filter chamber and a second filter chamber, each containing a number of the filter assemblies. A flow diverter is deployed in the central flow path for diverting a flow of filtered liquid passing along the central flow path from the first filter chamber so as to flow outwards from the central flow path to undergo a second filtering in the second filter chamber. Also disclosed is an outlet flow throttling arrangement to avoid overload of a backwash cleaning system.

摘要: The invention features a filtration segment having a top seal, a bottom seal and a primary filter core and the method of filtering with the design of the filtration segment. The primary filter core is operatively coupled to at least one opening which is located either on the top seal or on the bottom seal. The filtration segment also includes one or more interior filters surrounding the primary filter core. Each interior filter includes a filter material surrounding a secondary core which is operatively coupled to at least one opening which is located either on the top seal or on the bottom seal. Each filter may optionally include a retaining medium enclosing the filter material. The filtration segment has one or more layers of an exterior filter media which operatively surround the interior filters and are operatively coupled to the top seal and the bottom seal.

The first and second filter elements are arranged consecutively along a longitudinal extension of the fluid filter cartridge. 摘要: A liquid extraction assembly for extracting liquid from a mass including a housing having an inlet, an outlet, and a path between the inlet and the outlet. The housing has the mass forced into the inlet to move the mass from the inlet to the outlet. The housing includes a rotating screen adjacent the path, with the rotating screen defining one wall of the path. The rotating screen includes a plurality of openings located at the path. Pressure from mass forced into the inlet presses the mass against the openings of the rotating screen to thereby force at least a portion of liquid in the mass to pass through the openings of the rotating screen. The housing has at least one stirring arm extending into the path between the inlet and the outlet, the at least one stirring arm stirring the mass in the path.

摘要: A multi-zoned paddle screen apparatus 100 is disclosed for separating fiber from a liquid medium during, for example, a grain wet mill or dry grind process. The apparatus includes a housing 106 having first and second zones 108a, 108b situated adjacent one another along a length (L) of the housing 106. First and second screen sections 102a, 102b having a plurality of openings 104 may be situated lengthwise within the housing 106 corresponding with the first and second zones 108a, 108b, respectively. The first and second screen sections 102a, 102b have a circular cross-section, and the second screen section 102b has a larger diameter than the first screen section 102a. An elongated shaft 130 situated lengthwise within the screen sections 102a, 102b includes first and second conveyors 128a, 128b, which correspond with the first and second zones 108a, 108b, respectively, having a plurality of paddles 132. Each conveyor 128a, 128b is configured to move material in a direction along a length of the screen 102a, 102b. There may be more than two zones 108a, 108b.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method for self-cleaning filters without having to open the filter housing. Wash nozzles are integrated with the filter housings such that when the filters are clogged, both back-wash and regular washing can be performed with practically no down time. Moreover, without opening the filter housing, the hazardous components of the fluid to be filtered can be contained and dealt with before they escape the filter housing, thereby significantly reduces the environmental impact and harm to the working crew.

摘要: An oil filter assembly is disclosed for a machine, such as an internal combustion engine, that has an oil output port and an oil input port. A mounting plate is fixed with an outer enclosure. The mounting plate is further adapted to conduct oil from the machine into a peripheral portion of the outer enclosure, and then returning oil from a central portion of the outer enclosure back to the machine. Oil may pass from the peripheral portion to the central portion through a primary filter having a first porosity. A pressure-actuated valve is fixed fluidly between the portions of the outer enclosure.
