    Abstract: Disclosed are examples of valve systems and methods of operating the respective valve systems. An example valve system may include a valve body, an inlet component, an outlet component and a valve tube. The valve body may include a first void and a second void. The inlet component may be coupled to the first void and the outlet component may be coupled to the second void. The valve tube may include a side port and may be positioned through the valve body and coupled to the first void, the inlet component, the second void, and the outlet component. Other valve system examples may include including a valve body, a first septum, a second septum, a first piston, a second piston and a tube. The disclosed methods describe the interaction of the respective components of the respective valve system example.

    Abstract: Flow control systems and methods for controlling the flow of liquid into and out of a tubular member comprising a perforated portion that is configured to distribute a flow of liquid having a predefined fixed liquid pressure through the perforated portion to pressurize an intestine that is suspended on the tubular member is disclosed. The flow control system comprises a flow regulating valve having a slidably arranged valve structure arranged in a pressurized liquid filled water chamber and an elastic water-side diaphragm arranged in the water chamber and connected to the valve structure such that the water-side diaphragm allows the valve structure to be moved in a first direction along the longitudinal axis of the valve structure to increase the volume in the water chamber and be moved in the opposite direction to decrease the volume in the water chamber.

    Abstract: A way valve (1) with a 5/2 way valve function has a valve member (13) moveable between two switching positions in a valve member accommodation space (8). The valve member (13) has a valve disk (49) arranged in an inlet section (24) of the valve member accommodation space (8) connected to a feed channel (36), the valve disk having an axially oriented annular valve member sealing surface (56) and being located opposite an annular body sealing surface (54) formed on the valve body (3). So as to close a fluid connection between the inlet section (24) and an attached outlet section (25, 26) of the valve member accommodation space (8) connected to a working channel (37, 38), the valve disk (49) is located with its valve member sealing surface (56) on the opposite body sealing surface (54). Either the body sealing surface (54) or preferably the valve member sealing surface (56) is formed on a collar-like, axially raised sealing edge (57), which has a non-circular, elongated shape, whereby the way valve (1) possesses a high power density.

    Abstract: A method of controlling an actuator includes switching a primary solenoid valve to a first mode to fluidically connect a supply pressure source to a control chamber of a pilot valve. A fluid from the supply pressure source is directed through the primary solenoid valve to fill the control chamber of the pilot valve and put the pilot valve in a first position. The first position fluidically connects a second chamber of the actuator to a return pressure source. The actuator includes a cylinder between the first chamber and the second chamber and a rod attached to the cylinder. The fluid from the supply pressure source is directed into the first chamber of the actuator to move the cylinder and the rod in a first direction while the pilot valve is in the first position.
