Abstract: A system and method for identifying an individual based, at least in part, on their gait is presented. First, acceleration data is received from an accelerometer carried by a person. The acceleration data corresponds to a gait of the person. Rotational invariant values that are independent of a rotational position of the accelerometer are calculated based, at least in part, on the acceleration data. A gait dynamics image (GDI) is calculated based, at least in part, on the rotational invariant values. The GDI is matched to one of a set predetermined GDIs to identify the person.

Abstract: A mechanism for image recognition based on multiple factors is described. A method, system and computer-readable medium for multi-factor image recognition includes using environmental contextual attributes to create likelihood tiers in an image recognition database such that irrelevant entries are excluded from the search. The mechanism described here limits and sorts by contextual likelihood the number of entries to be searched, increasing both the speed and accuracy of the image recognition process.

Abstract: A system and method for detecting the trajectory of a projectile is presented. One system includes a flash detection sensor, an acoustic sensor, an optical sensor and a processor logic mounted on a vehicle. The flash detection sensor detects a flash of a projectile being launched. The acoustic sensor detects when a blast wave associated with the firing of the projectile reaches the vehicle. The optical sensor takes two or more images of the same projectile. The images are typically not in the visible light spectrum. The processor logic calculates a trajectory of the projectile based on the images and data collected by the acoustic sensor associated with the blast wave. The processor logic may generate a warning signal to warn an operator of the vehicle about the projectile.

Abstract: A memory system includes c-shell units, PCBs, and a controller logic. The c-shell units are positioned side-by-side adjacent each other. Each c-shell unit has at least two sled-less memory bays and the sled-less memory bays are positioned vertically relative to each other. Each of the sled-less memory bays receives a memory device. A PCB is vertically mounted to a corresponding c-shell unit. The control logic controls access to and from the memory devices so that it manages storing data to the memory devices and retrieving data from the memory devices. Each PCB comprises traces to route signals between the control logic and the memory devices.

Abstract: A system and method for mounting a device to a piece of equipment is presented, and may include a handheld inertial measurement unit (IMU), a computer logic and a mounting interface. The piece of equipment may have a line replaceable unit (LRU) mount that allows a new LRU to be mounted thereon. The mounting interface may be mounted to a LRU mount. The handheld IMU may determine position data with respect to the LRU mount and the piece of equipment. The computer logic may be configured to calculate a positional error value based on the position data to indicate to a user whether corrections need to be made regarding how the new LRU is mounted to the LRU mount before the new LRU is mounted to the LRU mount or whether the new LRU can be mounted to the LRU mount without any corrections.

Abstract: Disclosed is an example for determining a projectile trajectory with at least two sensors. In one example, the projectile trajectory is estimated using a first sensor having a first angular range. Further, the projectile trajector is estimated using a second sensor having a second angular range. The first sensor and the second sensor are disposed on a platform at different spatial locations. Furthermore, a discrepancy in the projectile trajectory is determined when the projectile moves from the first angular range to the second angular range. The discrepancy is created due to the different spatial locations of the first sensor and the second sensor. An actual projectile trajectory is determined by compensating for the discrepancy in the projectile trajectory using the estimated discrepancy.
