摘要: Disclosed herein is system level occupancy counting in a lighting system configured to obtain an indicator data of a RF spectrum signal (signal) generated by a number of receivers at a number of times in an area. At each respective one of the number of times, for each respective one of the receivers, apply one of a plurality of heurist algorithm heuristic algorithm coefficients to each indicator data of the signal, based on results of the application of the heuristic algorithm coefficients, generate an indicator data metric value for each of the indicator data for the respective time. The lighting system is also configured to process each of the indicator data metric value to compute a plurality of metric values for the respective time and combine the plurality of metric values to compute an output metric value for each of a plurality of probable number of occupants in the area for the respective time. The lighting system is further configured to determine an occupancy count in the area at the respective time based on the computed output metric value.

摘要: An intelligent lighting system may be installed using pre-existing electrical wiring, such as in a construction or retrofit environment. An intelligent lighting controller and an intelligent lighting fixture may be connected via electrical wiring that is configured for transmitting AC power signals. A commissioning signal may be transmitted to the intelligent lighting fixtures via the electrical wiring. In some cases, the intelligent lighting controller modifies portions of the AC power signal to indicate the commissioning signal. The intelligent lighting fixtures may receive the commissioning signal via the electrical wiring. In some cases, each intelligent lighting fixture that is connected to the electrical wiring, such as each intelligent lighting fixture on a lighting circuit in a room, receives the commissioning signal.

摘要: An emergency LED lighting system maintains power to an LED lighting source based on measured voltages and currents provided to the LED lighting source; rolls back or decreases power provided to an LED lighting source over time in order to increase the amount of time the battery can power the LED lighting source; executes a soft start procedure, such that the power provided to the LED lighting source is gradually ramped up during activation of the LED lighting sources; identifies a type of battery coupled to the emergency LED lighting system; cycles the emergency LED lighting system between charging mode and standby mode to reduce power consumption over a window of time; detects AC power or an absence of AC power; and/or uses a status LED to communicate information about the emergency LED lighting system with a remote device.

摘要: Systems and methods for using wireless beacons in point of purchase (“POP”) displays to facilitate the delivery of consumer oriented content to mobile devices is disclosed herein. Wireless beacons may be used to broadcast wireless signals from POP displays, where the wireless signals include data packets with unique identifiers for the wireless beacons. A wireless signal from a POP display may be received by a mobile device. The mobile device may provide the unique identifier in the wireless signal and a retail location of the mobile device to a remote server. The retail location of the mobile device may be provided by a mobile application (e.g., a retailer app) on the mobile device. The remote server may determine the retail location of the POP display by associating the retail location of the mobile device with the wireless beacon.

摘要: A system includes a control device and a plurality of lighting fixtures configured to receive power through the control device. Each lighting fixture includes a receiver and a memory, and is configured to: scan for a first message transmitted by the control device, the first message containing a unique identifier of the control device; receive the first message and store the unique identifier of the control device in the memory; sense a power interrupt to the lighting fixture initiated by the control device within a specified period of time after receipt of the first message from the control device; and transmit a second message including the unique identifier of the control device, the second message indicating that the lighting fixture is in a provisioning mode.

The luminous zone provides a first light to an illuminated area, and the one or more transition zones provide a second light to the illuminated area. The first light is harsher than the second light. A method of illuminating an area includes providing a first light to the area from a luminous zone of a luminaire and providing a second light to the area from one or more transition zones disposed adjacent to the luminous zone within the luminaire. The first light is a harsher light than the second light.

A method for manufacturing an optical component may include mixing two precursors of silicone, opening a first gate of an optic forming device, moving the silicone mixture from the extrusion machine into the optic forming device, cooling the silicone mixture as it enters the optic forming device, filling a mold within the optic forming device with the silicone mixture, closing the first gate, and heating the silicone mixture in the mold to at least partially cure the silicone. Alternatively, a method for manufacturing an optical component may include depositing a layer of heat cured silicone optical material to an optical structure, arranging one or more at least partially cured silicone optics on the layer of heat cured silicone optical material, and heating the heat cured silicone optical material to permanently adhere the one or more at least partially cured silicone optics to the optical structure.
