Abstract:
An electrode according to the present invention includes a substrate, and a conductive layer containing carbon particles or platinum particles and a conductive binder for binding the carbon particles or platinum particles formed above the substrate. By binding the carbon particles or the platinum particles with the conductive binder, it is possible to form an electrode with a porous structure where spaces that communicate with a surface of the conductive layer are defined between the corresponding carbon particles or platinum particles, thereby increasing the effective area (surface area) of the electrode. The photoelectric conversion elements and the dye-sensitized photovoltaic or solar cells according to the present invention can be manufactured at a low cost and have an increased effective area, making it possible to obtain excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency.

Abstract:
A method for specifically quantifying HDL cholesterol in which cholesterol in lipoproteins other than HDL is erased in the first step, and HDL cholesterol is specifically quantified in the second step, by which accurate values can be obtained even in measurements of abnormal samples such as disorder of lipid metabolism and lipoprotein abnormality, is disclosed. The method for quantifying cholesterol in high density lipoprotein according to the present invention comprises a first step of erasing cholesterol in lipoproteins other than high density lipoprotein by treating a test sample with cholesterol esterase and cholesterol oxidase in the absence of a surfactant which acts on high density lipoprotein and removing generated hydrogen peroxide; and a second step of adding a surfactant which specifically acts on high density lipoprotein to the product of said first step and quantifying hydrogen peroxide generated from cholesterol in high density lipoprotein by actions of cholesterol esterase and cholesterol oxidase. As the cholesterol oxidase used in the first step, one having a molecular weight of not more than 60 kilodaltons is used.

Abstract:
A collecting process of data which is managed by each server on a network is first started by information collection means. Data collected by the information collection means is stored in an information holding means. Subsequently, the data which is needed by a user is extracted by extraction means. Then, the extracted data is outputted to an output destination. In one embodiment, data under a point serving as the root is collected while repeating processes. Such that data at the point serving as a certain root is collected on the basis of access setting information; a link destination is extracted from the collected data and data on the extracted link is further collected. In another embodiment, the data type held in the information holding means is analyzed, then is compared with the data type required by the user by the extraction means. Thus, the data is extracted by extraction means in accordance with the result of the comparison.
Abstract:
To present an electronic component including a contact integrated type terminal having a terminal portion with excellent mechanical strength and solderability and a contact portion with excellent contact characteristic. It comprises a contact integrated type terminal made of metal having a contact portion formed at one end and a terminal portion formed at other end, a case fixing the contact integrated type terminal, a movable contact placed in the case so as to cover the contact portion, and an operation member for operating the movable contact. The contact integrated type terminal includes a plated layer having solderability and conductivity at least on one side thereof, the terminal portion has a folded and overlaid shape so that the plated layer comes to the outside surface, the terminal portion can be soldered to a wiring board, the contact portion has the plated layer installed at the same side as the one side, and the movable portion contacts with the contact portion by operating the operation member so as to conduct with each other electrically.
Abstract:
Provided are a gas turbine multi-hole film-cooled combustor liner, which can be manufactured with improved accuracy in shape and position of cooling holes in a very short time, ensuring desirable buckling strength and satisfactory cooling performance. A planar flat member is curved to form a liner shell of a cylindrical shape, the cylindrical member is welded in the longitudinal direction thereof to form a cylindrical shell. Then a wavy configuration and a corrugated configuration are formed on the cylindrical shell by a hydro-bulging method, cooling holes are formed through the liner shell by laser drilling at or near wave crest portions of the wavy configuration of the liner shell, and inner rings are attached to the liner shell by resistance spot welding or vacuum brazing.
Abstract:
